Lujack to Hit Parade Radio

I believe it is to debut sometime in September of this year. I don't know any specifics of station affiliation as of yet, though.

I'm with you. Living in NW Indiana and growing up listening to Lujack, I hope the network gets a major Chicago signal.

The next question, is will 'Lil' Tommy Edwards be Lujack's sidekick. It wouldn't be the same without him and "Animal Stories".

Agree with you regarding Tommy. I can't imagine Lujack doing a show nowadays without him.
Wouldn't be the same without Animal Stories and Celebrity Worship.

I posted this on a similar subject, so I will repeat:

In the words of Tommy Roe........"Hooray For Hazel" ...Hit Parade Radio Is Back can't wait to hear It. Someone does cares about 30% of the population in the US. I am so excited the following Lyrics come to mind.

Never knew that my heart could go zing thata way,
Ting-a-ling thata way,
Make me sing thata way!
Said goodbye to my troubles, they went thata way,
Ever since you came into my life!

Oh! hot diggity, dog ziggity boom, what'cha do to me,
It's so new to me, what'cha do to me,
Hot diggity, dog ziggity boom, what'cha do to me,
When you're holdin' me tight

Looks like they're going to try to cover 20+ years of music. They might have to try to separate that out somehow during the programming day. I'm not sure that there's an audience for a format that plays Jefferson Airplane back-to-back with Patti Page.

It could be a rough task, but if Jack could succeed with a younger base with a relatively large playlist, why not? I heard the demo and actually liked it.

My assumption is Its Hit Parade format It might span 1948-1968...and more Strangers in the Night from 66 rather than Airplane or Love Is Blue from 68 rathjer than the Doors "Love Me Two Times". That's my guess based soley on the term Hit Parade.

I was under the impression that they were going to play mostly 60s & 70s, but I hope that's night the case.
It would be terrible to ignore the 50s.

There's a "Listen Now" link up on the site, but I'm not sure if it's live or automated at this point.

I just listened to the demo...Lergendary Dj's playing legendary overplayed music(Boring), I got all excited with name "Hit Parade Radio"........oh well, back to my independent stations.

That's what I was afraid of musicwise.

I'm listening right now and its not bad if you like the MOR hits from those years, F & T's Theme From Exodus into My Way from Frank Sinatra lets see what's next. Whatever the song is I've never heard it and I'm 55..Sounds like the Four Preps singing about "the only one of you." This sounds like "format 41" all over againl

That sounds better than the demoI heard ,what is the link?

This sounds better than anything (MOR) you can hear on Sirius/XM radio since the merger Nov. 12 2008! The link is above in another post. Hit Parade is mood radio for sure you have to be in the mood to listen, which I seem to have been for the last two hours. Or is the music mix just that good?
