I don't think Middlesex-Somerset-Union is a *small* market. In fact, the radio station implied will soon have a coverage area almost as big as WMGQ. It's a college station in the shadow of Market #1. You actually could poll a lot of the listeners for free. It is a non-commercial station which plays almost every kind of music, so there's no need for much music research.
Now can we get back on topic? I agree that I can't listen to Magic all day every day, but once in a while, it's good. Tim Tefft is good, but the night jock really shouldn't be there. At least it beats David Allen Boucher. But Magic is much better than "Stale" 102.7 or 106.7 "not lite anymore" FM. Since when is a rap song AC? I think Magic, or any AC, shouldn't touch songs on the CHR charts till they become recurrents. I would rather hear "Big Girls Don't Cry" by The Four Seasons (they used to play that) than by Fergie (makes me change the station).

The more you post the more stupidity you show.
How do you think station do music research? They ask their listeners, ask them to rate, ask their opinion, etc.

How many listeners can you poll in two days (for free)?
Whatever number you come up with, it a much smaller sample than most stations do for music research.
