Major Meltdown at WEBE this morning

As I respect your views in many ways, the whole thing about Floyd going from PM Drive to overnights in this freakin' day and age of the business IS normal. (Unfortunately) Especially when you want to stay in the area you're in and you own a house that has been in your family for years. It's a personal decision which makes it normal. Tough to sell a house in this economy and even tougher when you DON'T WANT to sell your house. You make due with what you have to in order to get the bills paid. I'm doing this where I live right now. I could never sell my house in this economy without losing money. Thank the lord that I am not in a house that I cannot afford. I work several jobs to supplement what my spouse makes. Full time jobs here in ANY career are slim and none. Can't make a move to another state because you can't sell the house. Our son is also half way through high school in the same school district he started school in. Makes it easier on him and quality of his life is also important. Just my opinion.
Not the case at all. I know the mentality of these old time CT jocks. They take the path of least resistance. FW knows people at DRC. He worked there way back in the early 80's. Blow out Doug Taylor who hasn't been there that long and isn't part of the crony crowd JK, MS, LW, etc etc. Taylor was odd man out and didn't get an invite to the crony party.
CT radio is as lame as radio can get. Why do you think back in the Gov. Lowell Weicker made Imus Governor for a day
back in 1992. Weicker didn't listen to any of the morning shmucks on CT radio. He wanted nothing to do with the local yokel losers in CT morning radio. All of which were totally devoid of any talent what so ever. ;D
Nothing but idiotic recycled bits. ::) ::) ::)

The FM seems to do well for the most part. I usually keep the CITY/DX switch on "DX" whenever possible. The headphone cord acts as the antenna and it's bundled up under my shirt (using a $20 pair of full-sized Sony headphones when possible). Anyways, it's the AM that suffers on the bus, unless I hold the "Walkman" flat against the window, depending on the station.

The only reason people listen to 108 or 99.9 is because it doesn't take a lot of effort to punch up a free station on a radio. No cost, no fuss. Wait until the advertising dollars start shrinking. Then the garbage is really gonna hit the fan. These stations survive solely on advertising revenue. When that drops like a lead balloon, the management at Cox in Fla and Cumulus in Georgia will Fed Ex'ing pink slips. ;D

Speaking of Star 99.9, any word on when the station will announce a full-time replacement for Samantha Stevens in the mid-day slot?

If she's smart, she'll stay away from CT radio. Since they were so kind to her. She should go to Boston, Rhode Island or Long Island. ;)
