Chaos at the Forever Communications cluster in Jackson, TN. This past Friday 3 staff members of Eagle 104 WTNV resigned. Cluster PD Jared Mims, also the morning man on Eagle 104, has left to take a similar position at crosstown rival Thomas Media. Eagle 104 mid-day talent Shari Harper has taken a job at SL100 in Dyersburg. Afternoon jock Dan Defillipo also quit. Could this have anything to do with the station flipping to Froggy 104 (with new calls WOGY) on July 15?

Does this mean they are hiring? If so, I got a couple of folks I would like to send their way that are available and looking.

Last I heard, they were hiring. yeah, I think if there is going to be a switch that might cause some people to leave. but others may be looking for the next leap forward in their careers. by the way. can it mike, you were a weekender once your self.

They are looking for a new program director and new air staff. They will be flipping to Froggy 104 in the middle of July so if you have a reptilian or amphibian based name you would have an advantage.

yeah, they seem understaffed. the jocks from Rock92.3 station are picking up the slack.. and not doing to bad of a job, i think they're just trying to keep floating until more can be hired, surely they don't expect people to work double shifts "forever"

they desperately need help on their morning show. it's very sad. sounds like they took a part-timer and threw him on the air with little or no training.

Do we have your T/R on file? Would you like a shot at the AM Drive show? I'd like to hear ya take a shot at there "wally". ;) The PD position maybe? It's all open! Come get you some!

Worked for Forever before. I know what they pay the air talent. I could make more delivering pizza. There's a reason so many people are leaving. Good luck to you sir.

I really hate things didn't work out for you "wally". But I do take issue with you hacking on a guy (anonymously I might add) that was thrust into a situation he didn't sign up for! Because he likes to eat and have a roof over his head, he does what's asked of him. That makes him ok in my book. I'm just saying if you want hack on your ex-employer, have at it. But don't get personal. Radio is hard enough for folks to eek a living out of without people you think are your friends taking cheap shots at you behind your back.By the way, how's your new gig? ;)Yes it's tough here now. We're struggling to get all done. But I think it'll be ok when the dust settles. Hows that for an inside report?

I wasn’t “hacking” on the current morning man. I was pointing out that he was green and needed more training before being thrown to the wolves. This isn’t his fault.(and don’t get me started on whoever it is that’s now doing the news…) The rapidly declining qualities of their Jackson properties indicate the typical lack of knowledgeable management combined with the same cost cutting measures that I had to deal with when I worked for Forever in another state. I wish you best of luck in your time with Forever but heed this warning…get every promise made to you in writing (and keep your resume up to date)

Oh great! An anonymous WARNING too! So, I got that going for me!

I would like to put my two cents worth into this discussion. I don't know much about the 104 situation, but I do know that Gregg Rivers is the best coffee maker alive. He is a world class barrista. Seriously, no matter where you work or what the situation is...it's the coffee that matters.

Let's try to keep this thread focused. Radio comments only please.

Thanks Roger! I miss ya bro! Oh and I think coffee is a much more interesting topic than bitter pills and sour grapes! :-*

Got a call this morning asking if I was "Wally West". It's not me. I don't mind mentioning my name--Kelly Green (one half of the Green Team Morning Show with Michael Ray on 100.9 The Farm in Huntingdon). Worked for Forever for 8 years and I've always considered myself a positive person. I was let go by Forever at Froggy in Murray, KY because they wanted to take the station in a "different direction". Then Forever calls me 3 weeks ago and offers fat paychecks to Michael and I to come take over mornings when Eagle flips to Froggy. We turned it down and that's all I'll say about that.

What's going to happen to Conrad Delaney? I had heard rumors that they were going to blow up the morning show, but I can't imagine that they would drop Conrad.

Well as long as we are all stepping out of the dark. thanks for stepping up for me Greg, and hi Roger, it is the coffee that matters. Ok here is the deal, get hired as a copywriter and night talent on the Rock station... then watch the rug get ripped out from under the station, do your best to land on your knees and keep on going... that's how I describe the situation where I am currently the morning co-host. Conrad is great and I couldn't ask for anyone better to do the show with. yes I'm green. Yes I'm learning, but it's hard to do a morning show, copywrite, be the production assistant, programming assistant, keep up with the client records, make the sales people happy, being a newly wed, having a bit of my own life outside of work, and be the only person caring about the am station. so... cut a little slack. thanks.-Jared, Jr., J-Rod (and anything else I've been called lately)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say two things! #1, I truly believe that as long as Ole Conrad wants to get up in the morning and come to work, he's got a job. #2. I think some of us spend far too much time worrying about stuff that we don't have any control over, nor is it anything we should be concerned about in the first place! So here's another rumor you can spread! I heard Forever is looking to buy another station to put the cluster at 5! So maybe you all should be talking to your owners to see if they're planning on selling! LOL We could all be co-workers tomorrow! It's funny, this time last year all you heard about was how Clear Channel had screwed up Radio as we know it! You guys are funny man! I mean that!

Give Conrad my best, if you would. He's a true original, in the highest sense of the word, and working with him was a lot of fun.And be very careful--when I was "high atop the snowy slopes of Broadcast Mountain," doing mornings at WTNV, I married my co-host. Of course, she's much better looking, and it worked out wonderfully for us (closing in on thirteen years now and going strong), but I don't think it would be a good idea for you two. ;D--Mike
