I can't fathom the idea of a publicity stunt. Why would anytime damage their own brand in this manner?

I heard the story covered today on News 92 FM.

He won't spend a moment in jail. He has a smart lawyer who will tell him to plead guilty and pay the fine. It'll be forgotten by next week.
As for what will happen to him vis a vis his job at KTRH, who knows? Controversy attracts listeners, and he'll probably get a pay raise.
TheSpinMan said:The story seems to be getting more bizarre by the minute. Berry hires a million dollar lawyer for a $100 penalty crime. And now he actually has commenced on some windmill tilt against the media that reported his embarrassing behavior. I get the point that this might work with his audience ala Newt Gingrich in South Carolina, but I doubt this is going to work with his advertisers. My bet, he's gone in a week.

It would take guts to make him out to be any sort of victim if the allegations against him are true, and it would be a hard sell to the conservative base, but that's what hotdog lawyers and Fox and Friends are for.
