Country cannot stay where it is.
You call yourself "ccinsider" when you make a silly comment like that?

RBRadioWaves said:Well, another weird part of the story. From RadioInsight.com:
"Comedy640.com: Three Talk stations owned by CC on 640: KFI Los Angeles, WHLO Akron, and WGST Atlanta. Is this related to the coming frequency shuffle in Atlanta?"
So now WGST may be involved.

ESPNDeportesAtlanta.com redirects to iHeartRadio.com and Project1053.com redirects to 1053TheFox.com in Minot.
I don't know about you-but I smell a rat, and I usually don't with CC.

IF it does come back, then I think they may put in Randy and Spiff to attract some listeners, and play nonstop music through labor day weekend.
I'm also predicting either classic hits or variety hits. The former is a decent sized hole, the latter is something that CC is getting big on (Boston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Miami).

CC owns Peach in Macon. They could swap the calls back if they wanted.AMFMRadFan said:If Clear Channel is serious about bringing Peach back to Atlanta, call letters they would have to use would be WPAG-FM. No one is using the calls as of now. Call letters would be meaning Peach Atlanta Georgia since the WPCH-FM call letters are still in the Macon market at Peach 96.5.
As for the Comedy640.com domain, I think that will most likely be going to WHLO in Akron. If Comedy comes to Atlanta, it would have to strictly be on FM. It wouldn't last on AM. I'm not sure about what Clear Channel will be doing to their FM stations here in the Atlanta market, but as for WGST, I believe WGST will still be at 640 AM. That is all.
The Macon station would have to come up with new calls if they moved WPCH to an Atlanta station, but they could still call themselves "Peach". Conversely, as secondchoice said, you could call yourself "Peach" with any old calls you want.AMFMRadFan said:jabba17, I know Clear Channel owns the Peach station in Macon. If Peach were to come back to Atlanta, wouldn't the Peach station in Macon have to flip to another format in order for the WPCH-FM call letters to come back to Atlanta? Or could they keep the same Peach station in Macon and flip its calls to something creative? If they do bring the WPCH-FM calls back to Atlanta, an idea for the Macon people would be to flip Macon's Peach call letters to something like WPMG-FM. Those calls aren't being used as of now. And the call letters could mean either Peach Middle Georgia or Peach Macon Georgia. Either way, it would work. Another idea for the Macon people would be flipping Macon's calls to something like WPSG-FM. Those calls aren't being used either. Those call letters would be meaning The Peach State of Georgia. Anyway, that is all.

That would just be dumb if the goal is to lose the least amount of listeners possible in the process. The closer we get to Labor Day without on-air drops mentioning it, the less likely it is to happen on Labor Day Weekend. But at least for the meanwhile, we have something keeping us on the edge of our seats. This whole thing is like being one of the people who won a set of keys that may or may not start the brand new car and waiting to see if you'll be that lucky winner with the right key.

They may make breaks announcing "Something Big" at a certain time before the change, and air sweepers after the change. They will probably post on Facebook.

electroboy73 said:Because it would FINALLY give Atlanta a good, consistent CHR and on a full-power signal (96.1, 94.9, etc.)
