More on markets without affiliation switches

Mankato, MN was a 1 station market for decades. They launched Oct 1960 with NBC and switched to CBS a few months later. They are still CBS to this day
They added FOX as a subchannel in 2007
KMNF-LD launched in December 2019 as NBC on -1 and CW on -2

Mankato also gets some PBS service via a Twin Cities PBS translator in nearby St. James, MN. Also in St. James, there is a translator for KSTP for ABC.

Get those signals full powered and cover more of the market, and Mankato has all the Big 4 plus CW and PBS.

I always find it funny when people who don't live in Mankato or near it throw this out there. (you're not the first one)
They are low powered translators in a county 30+ miles away and don't come in Mankato unless you are in the right spot in town and have a big antenna set up on a tower or roof. I can't as I have an antenna on my deck at the apartment. For years the county was in the Minneapolis market so that is why they were there. The county is now part of Mankato market (due to having more than just CBS as that was it for decades) but still really can't be picked up in Mankato. I've taken an antenna to other parts of Mankato including where I use to work to see if I could get the signals and they barely came in due to the low power of the translators (they use to be higher power but the repack messed that up. They had to lower power down to under 2kw). Gray (the owners of KEYC and KMNF) in theory could add ABC but they gave us some BS answer back when KMNF went on the air in 2019 of "oh the FCC wont like it if we had all the networks on stations we own".
Not having PBS isn't a big deal. I have the PBS Passport so I can see all the PBS stuff. ABC I have Hulu..usually get it at Turkey Day time when its like $2 a month. :)
