WYAY 106.7 could go AC and pick up where Lite left off, or even an oldies format would be good. Could FM talk work, especially since the recent changes at WGST?

Yes, I've listened to 99.3 on the lower level of a parking deck, surrounded by skyscrapers. It does reach and I've listened to 106.1 in Cobb County. I'm sure there are more. There's a lot of Country out there and I have a strong feeling 106.7 could become something else if 94.9 becomes the Bull. Most of those Country outlets are located inside 106.7's 60 dBu contour.
If you think 106.7 will try something else, what are your guesses there?
Brian Donegan said:I see Eagle flipping especially if Lite goes Country. I think this Southern Fried Friday night is a direction they are headed. I really think a Classic/Southern Rock and Country hybrid could work since some of what Eagle is already playing was considered rock when it came out. For example the CDB (Charlie Daniels Band) was a rock band but became Country once Country started using the same elements which I think led to the explosion in popularity that Country got when I was a kid in the 90's listening to it. Besides there is no where else for the 96 Rock crowd to go other than The River which really doesn't serve them well because Classic hits is different.
RTibbs said:If you think Classic Hits is different than 96 rock you obvioously have not listened to 96 rock in the last couple of years. 75% of it seemed to be the same playlist.

Eagle does attract a significant audience especially older males. The idea of have a country/Southern rock hybrid could work. Eagle and Kicks broadcasts a similar format called The Wolf http://www.thewolfatlanta.com/ on their HD2 channels. It seems to have generated a good response already and I hope they incorporate some of the music on their main channels.

If you think this is just Bull check out 96.7 after the Lites go out.

Is that the Buzz? Hmm...I suppose 96.7 has always been dealing with Wild rumors, which ain't exactly Bull. Clear Channel should Maximize their music Mix and start focusing on some Real Radio. Man, that would be Cool...so Cool it would Rock.
