I was at a Comfort Suites outside of Richmond VA years ago and they had all of the county public access channels. It was during the summer so most everything was just running elevator music with information about county board of supervisors meetings, county parks, and information about school starting the next month.

A bit more background on the Travelodge Sydney system...they were apparently sourcing HD signals from Bell TV's satellite arm. Bell had recently dumped CJCB's HD signal from the service, a screen was airing indicating the SD position (several smaller-market CTV stations had also had their HD signals spiked as well). So technically, there were two channel 4's on the system-analog CJCB and the Bell TV screen!
Tonight I'm staying at the Comfort Inn in Fort Mill, SC (across the street from Carowinds) and it carries an absolute boat load of channels. It is provided by Spectrum.
Notable missing channels are WTVI and WNSC (both PBS members), WAXN (independent, sister station of WSOC), and WHKY (independent), as well as many subchannel networks.

That's an incredible lineup for a Comfort Inn or any other chain. Sports fans from far and wide must check in there every weekend and never leave their rooms until Monday morning -- or Tuesday morning during NFL season.
Yep Spokane is a much larger reach market than most cities of their size. Not only most of Eastern Washington (except Tricities Yakima) but all of Northern Idaho. I believe they reach well into British Columbia Canada as well.
Ch. 27---was that an an actual MTV Canada (which I had never heard of) or Canada's MuchMusic?
MTV Canada is separate from MuchMusic but yes, one does exist, though it has never played any music videos at all due to prior licensing agreements when the channel was previously known as TalkTV.
I'm in the Best Western Inn at Hell's Canyon in Clarkston, WA (across the river from Lewiston ID). Using DIRECTV, all Spokane stations and KLEW-3 are on the system, of course, and it seems to be about 150 channels (no premium movie networks however). But also included on top of those 150 channels is about 30 SPANISH channels...WAPA America, TV Chile, two from Peru, HITN, TVE Spain, a movie channel, Discovery en Espanol, Discovery Familia, you name it...and this area is nowhere near a Hispanic majority (just under 3%).
Can't give you a full list, but I'm also heading to a hotel in Sandpoint tomorrow night so I'll give another report then.

About 4 hours of driving await me back to Ellensburg this afternoon.

Staying at the Magnolia Tree in Anaheim, CA gets you access to Dish Network's 250 Channel Package including the 70 Sirius XM channels and all the Mood Media Music feeds, as well as any per-per-view movie or special charged to your room. Pretty impressive for what's considered a "2 Star Hotel" (I found it nice enough)
Also, not sure why WHDH, WSBK, and WGBX are not available on the lineup.
