Do you remember when Jerry had that nut Roy Masters on?
Masters used to have a show ... and I mean show...on WROL about the same time in the afternoon as Jerry's (2-6). I know in my time with Jerry we never had him on and would never consider having Roy Masters on. By the way, friends who had to deal with Master who preached love and peace carried a hidden dagger in his boot or sock.
Nice guy, huh???

Roy Masters ;D

If I remember, Jerry Williams would have him on and when Brudnoy and Masters got into a "discussion," Masters made a disparaging comment about David's sexual orientation

my picks:

national: Mike Malloy

local: Morgan White, Jr. Wish he had a regular slot... It's probably a pipe dream but LaVeille in Sully's old spot and then Morgan overnight would be something I'd enjoy...

In the past......Bruce Bradley, Al Gates, Uncle dale, Charles, Ken shelton, Jess Cain.

Today........ Ron Dwyer, Paula Street,D.D. (still), And every one else at WATD.

I had forgotten about "Juicy Brucie" Bradley. You must be an old fart like me.

I am a very "sprite" fifty-six. But I am no longer in any demo group that cares.

BTW say a prayer for Jess Cain. I read in the Herald He is ill. Bummer.

I'm a few years older than you. When I was in high school WBZ's lineup was as follows:

Carl DeSuze
Dave Maynard
Jay Dunn
Jefferson Kay
Bruce Bradley
Dick Summer

Bruce Bradley played the top 15 every night and I rarely missed it.

From the past: Dave Maynard, J Micheal Wilson (71-72 @ 1510 WMEX) Norm Nathan, Harry Nelson (WRKO)... today: Paula Street and the Freakin' Puerto Rican (no, really!)

....Dick Syatt's "Kinky Gross Hotline"!.... He was s&%tcanned from Legal Seafoods now does "The Podcast Network"...whatever the bleep dat is....how pathetic. Just remembering him makes my skin crawl...Creepy!

OK, I know I am showing my age, but:

Jess Cain (WHDH)
Arnie "Woo Woo" Ginsburg (WMEX)
Fenway (The Jack Gale "Fenway") (WMEX)
Dale Dorman (WRKO)
Dick Summer (WBZ - WMEX)
Bill Marlowe (WNAC - later, WMRE)
Bruce Bradley (WBZ)
Larry Glick (WMEX - WBZ)
Norm Nathan (WHDH - WBZ)

They were/all originals, unique and appreciated.

John "ozone" Osterlind...currently, both as people (incredibly nice guys) and as a jock; Mark Hamilton, Adam 12, Neanderpaul, And Chuck Nowlin (no disrespect to any one else)

I am a transplant from New York. When you refer to Dick Summer is this the same one that was on WNBC in the late 70's and WPIX-FM (both in New York) in the early 80's? If yes, great jock with a nice smooth voice.

Yes, he has a history in Boston before New York, including two innovative evening shows on WBZ. In the mid-60's it was "Subway", playing the softer side of the new progressive album rock, folk-rock and jazz of the times before anyone else on Boston commercial radio, then it became "The Lovin' Touch", a romantic evening show which was a predecessor of the format that came to be known as "Soft Rock" during the next decade. He was also briefly P.D. of Boston Top 40 legend WMEX in the late 60's.

Thanks for the background Eli. He does have the voice for those romantic evening shows and soft rock shows. He was doing something very similar during the evenings on PIX in N.Y. in the early 80/s.

I liked Ozone too--on WAAF. All the others I know and like. No one was better than Charles.
I do like talk, Robin Young at WBUR, Eagan and Braude at WTKK.
