Do you remember when Jerry had that nut Roy Masters on?
Masters used to have a show ... and I mean show...on WROL about the same time in the afternoon as Jerry's (2-6). I know in my time with Jerry we never had him on and would never consider having Roy Masters on. By the way, friends who had to deal with Master who preached love and peace carried a hidden dagger in his boot or sock.

I am a transplant from New York. When you refer to Dick Summer is this the same one that was on WNBC in the late 70's and WPIX-FM (both in New York) in the early 80's? If yes, great jock with a nice smooth voice.

Yes, he has a history in Boston before New York, including two innovative evening shows on WBZ. In the mid-60's it was "Subway", playing the softer side of the new progressive album rock, folk-rock and jazz of the times before anyone else on Boston commercial radio, then it became "The Lovin' Touch", a romantic evening show which was a predecessor of the format that came to be known as "Soft Rock" during the next decade. He was also briefly P.D. of Boston Top 40 legend WMEX in the late 60's.

Thanks for the background Eli. He does have the voice for those romantic evening shows and soft rock shows. He was doing something very similar during the evenings on PIX in N.Y. in the early 80/s.
