Flipping back to The Eagle and running rock music again isn't going to work if it's going to be the same stuff that The Eagle was running in its final years. They did not have a competent plan for dealing with KVIL when KVIL took a portion of their playlist and welded it into the bog standard Audacy Alternative playlist. If they don't have one now, it's just going to be the same thing happening all over again. They need to do something different. What that possibly could entail, I don't know. But I have my doubts that iHeart has a detailed plan for making KEGL competitive, especially since they haven't given KVIL time to become complacent. Not to mention that John Allers, who led KVIL into forcing KEGL to flip in the first place, is still overseeing that station, and most of the people who started KVIL's revival are also still there.
