There’s just absolutely no way a radio station would call themselves the freak. I would laugh every time I would tell a potential client the name of the station
Alt 103.7 just played Metallica “Enter Sandman”Slayer on KXT?!??!!!
Wow. I'm impressed. I never understood why FM rock radio has avoided their music outside of heavy metal specialty shows. Many of those same stations play Pantera on a semi-regular basis.
Said in another thread. My prediction: Mike, B&S and Mark Cuban come on a 3 to announce push for Freaker’s Ball. The station still is called the Eagle. But, Mike replaces treehouse. I think we’re all being lied to about
Personally, I’m pumped to see hot talk get another shot. Too early to tell if it will launch (or come back) in other markets, but likely the direction we’ll see as music listening shifts to other outlets. (There is an audience that wants talk radio in a non-political manner...whether it can be lucrative on a large scale remains to be seen.)
Looks like they're still doing some music? "Blue On Black" by Kenny Wayne Sheperd playing in lieu of commercials?
Yes, the live stream is playing rock music during commercial breaks.whats playing on air at 97.1? are they playing music and doing spot blocks? I just hear “blue on black” right now
I'm in Houston, and I got a bunch of streaming-only commercials during the first break, including some for my area.Yes, the live stream is playing rock music during commercial breaks.
