It was, but it was really Greenbaum according to Whitburn's book.

T.R. Dallas recorded an excellent side of this tune - what a wonderful baritone voice, sounds quite a lot like old "Gentleman Jim" Reeves.

The Gary Burbank version is the one that I remember. The lame Jimmy Carter impersonator who blamed "Ronald Reagan or John Anderson, or John Anderson or Ronald Reagan" was hilarious! Remember, we were in a presidential election season that year! 8)
