Is New York Yankee Baseball Dead on Providence Radio ??
jlehmann said:I suppose it's possible that they could still run the Yankees on 99.7, or True Oldies 790. Just because they're not sports all the time anymore doesn't mean they can't still run the Yankees (or Patriots for that matter).

Memory serves me right, they were on HJJ before the Score picked them up....
DUH, oh, of course, Ken, spoken like a true Red Sox fan...(I can hear the Real Men of Genius jingle, now) Only people from NY visiting RI during the summer (or something) listen to the Yankees ???...otherwise, they can just go without ??? WHAT ??? HUH ???Ken said:The Yankees don't need to be on the radio in RI. If people from NY visit RI during the summer or something they can just go without it or put on WCBS 880.

The southern part of the state is closer to NY than the self-proclaimed Hub.
Like SkyNet says, Providence will scramble for the Yankees, the Yankees won't scramble for Providence.johns said:The southern part of the state is closer to NY than the self-proclaimed Hub.
What's pathetic is your knowledge of geography. Boston is about 90 miles from Westerly, RI's southwestern most town, while New York is about 140 miles away.
