I've seen a couple of posts in here (true and false) regarding Los Angeles and dance music on the radio.
Based on some of the responses and as well as past history (Power 106, Mars Radio, Groove Radio 103.1), there is a dance music base in Los Angeles. You certainly have many clubs there as well as a following.
Granted, yes you can turn to satellite radio or Internet streamers for many dance music choices. But I also feel that there should also be a dance/rhythmic radio station with local flavor that totally reflects the "Big Orange".
In New York, we did petitions, posts, made a lot of noise, etc. and eventually Pulse 87 happened for the dance fans. We want to make the same amount of noise for L.A. If you are a dance music fan and want to make noise in the hopes that a rhythmic dance formatted station in L.A. can happen, then you should align with us.
Our name may say "New York" but we are about the dance music scene throughout the U.S.! You can read about our "10 in '09" campaign where we want to push for 10 cities to launch a dance/rhythmic format on the FM standard dial. Los Angeles is definitely deserving of one....and based on the posts I've read in the recent past, the time may just be now for something like this to happen.
I'm more than willing to help ANYONE with this!
Thank you,
