I actually enjoy the ramsey show but wish it was carried live or semi live. Since it airs 2-5 est, wouldn't be bad for a midday or late morning fix.

5-7 az morning news
7-10 glenn beck
10-1 dave ramsey
1-4 anarklo
4-6 az pm news
6-9 crummey
9-12 gaydos
Be careful AZEngeryfan or KOHS will freak out because you posted twice.

LOL! Good one! I might just have to do that.

My apologies, CFME44, I mistook you for a radio 'newbie'. I can see how wrong I was. ;-}

Russ, you blew it, good luck the hillbilly finance show (wasn't Ramsey also on KFNN as well?)

Last known double wide for Dave Ramsey was the trailer park that used to exist on 13~Ten. Now it's back to being excess land at the Mesa Cemetery.

LC.......I have two internet radios. I sort of like the looks of the Ruko Soundbridge, which is actually only a tuner. It is a cylinder about 2.5" x 10" with a 1" slot the length of the tube for the display. Everything is done with the remote. There is a volume control on the remote, which means you can plug in earbuds, instead of powered speakers, and control the volume. I guess Ruko doesn't support this any more, they have a new TV product that takes all of their efforts. I bought directly from them for $129 + shp.

The other is a Revo Pico, which C Crane was closing out for $99.99. It includes a speaker, and a battery if you want to move it around. I think it is a little harder to tune and find stations. You may have to turn a dial 30 revs to get the station you want. It does have good sound, even though it is mono. But it does have an output to feed powered speakers, and this is stereo. I think the price was dropped on this one because a new model came out with very little differences.

I do enjoy being able to listen to stations from around the world. Many of them have little or no commercials. You can locate by genre or location, then narrow down your choices. It will take 3 or 4 minutes to find a specific station if you do not have a preset for it. It reminds me of the old days of scanning the shortwave bands, except the reception is perfect, and you have thousands of stations to choose from.

I'm thinking about buying the C Crane model, its got 99 presets, an aux in for Ipod, alarm, and you can set it to turn off. The RCA model gives a lot for its small price and has AM/FM onboard, though you will need an external AM antenna due to the interference.

I want it to be fairly portable for home or work and be able to plug in speakers to it or to plug into my home stereo.

It will be nice to be able to listen to Radio Free Phoenix more, and some foreign broadcasts, as well as listen to the talk show hosts I like....live (take that KTAR, KKNT). While I would love to support my local radio stations, they pretty much all suck these days, so they lose my patronage and the sponsors lose out as well. Also excited about building my kind of music station via Slacker.

If you like little or no commercials, then you got to love the Lumberyard on 1440 when their playing those golden oldies. 14 songs in a row, one commercial, and then back to the music. Why can't FM stations do this? =)

No mon, no fun. Too bad, so sad.

It's all about the money. =)

Check out Grace's offerings as well, here's a handy comparison chart: http://www.gracedigitalaudio.com/compare_internet_radios.php

The "Traveler" model is battery powered and portable.

I'll give them a look, but the portable is still 7 lbs and no Pandora.

If I'm bringing it to/from work like I do my Sangean 505, its gotta be lightweight.

Yeah you'd probably be better off with the Ccrane, I know someone who has one and it's a good size for that.

Evidently the shipping weight is 7 lbs, its a 2 pound radio.

I'd rather buy one at Fry's as its easy to return.

Hendrie announces he's returning to his original format, the best on radio, and KTAR replaces him with Dave Ramsey. What brilliant timing! And how sad for us in the Valley.

"Syndicated Talk host Phil Hendrie announces his cast of fictional characters will return to the Phil Hendrie Show, after doing two years of "straight talk." "Radio needs alternative programming, like my show, now more than ever," said
Hendrie. "Having the advantage of communicating compelling and outrageous points of view through these characters is an opportunity no other host has."

Right! I'm pro-Hendrie. He's kind of like Jonathan Swift, recommending that the Irish eat their children to cope with their little poverty problem.

Well, there goes the neighborhood! While motoring down Thomas Rd in our '76 Gremlin Levi's Special, Nurse Czarina Jeff and I spotted a bus shelter ad for Dave Ramsey on KT'R 92~Three. We can't imagine TMISU spending money reaching bus riders, but maybe Ramsey is paying the freight. Dunno....this is about as strange as those Pat McBland commercials for a West Valley Kia dealership that we suspect is the same as the one where a buffoon yells at the top of his lungs: Seeeeeeeeeeeeee Yah in a Keyyyyyyyyyyy Ah!
