Have you pulled in KRLD? I was curious if their westward signal reached that far.

Conditions do seem to be improving. Heard a new one last night, KSEO 750, 220 watts from Durant OK, in WSB's null. The most interesting thing about this was that it was mixing with CKJH. Haven't heard that one since last spring.I haven't been DXing much in a good while, with conditions poor the few times I've checked. Last night I took the XHDATA D-808 out to the front yard for a few minutes around 11pm and was rewarded with my first new logging in 3 months, KFSW 1650 in Ft Smith, AR. I tuned in just in time to hear a clear ID and Christian music. I've previously heard 4 other stations on 1650, odd since KFSW is the closest station of them to my location.
At any rate, I hope this is a sign of autumn and the start of DX season (although it doesn't feel like autumn, with today's high of 102).
CKJH was in here at my location a few nights ago. Of course here, if you null WSB, CKJH also gets nulled. So what I heard was CKJH under and mixing at times with WSB. Also for the first time in several months.Conditions do seem to be improving. Heard a new one last night, KSEO 750, 220 watts from Durant OK, in WSB's null. Absolutely!I suppose I shouldn't be looking a gift moose in the mouth. Music on AM is rare, and I've always enjoyed C&W.
Absolutely!
It's annoying to have to DX stuff so hard, because where I'm at, many distant stations don't come in very well, even with my MLA-30+ and AN-100, but it's still fun, because over the past year or two, there have been quite a few AM stations playing music (English language oldies and classic hits, mostly). There are a few that have been around awhile, but many are relatively new.
They are:
After years of hearing almost no music on AM (aside from KXBX, which has always been music; I hope it never flips to talk), I'm now treated to seven music stations!
- KYNO 940 Fresno, CA
- KMBY 1240 Monterey, CA
- KVMI 1270 Tulare, CA
- KXBX 1270 Lakeport, CA: Can't DX this one, because 500 watts day power doesn't reach this far south, and 100 watts night power barely gets past Lakeport's city limits, let alone the county's, so it's basically a special treat for locals (I did discover that it reaches pretty far into the Sacramento Valley, as far north as a few miles north of Willows on I-5, which to me is impressive for 500 watts).
- KRKK 1360 Rock Springs, WY
- KRKO 1380 Everett, WA
- KEJB 1480 Eureka, CA
- KUBA 1600 Yuba City, CA
Now if only at least one of them were local, I'd be all set (KUBA is closest and comes in as a weak, but listenable local during the day, but they play mostly 80s and 90s fare (which is fine, but I'm more into 60s-70s), and KXBX, second closest, doesn't count because it's also the weakest at 500/100 watts day/night).

Indeed, CKAT is a "canary in the coal mine" for me, If it's in,,,which is not all that often....it generally means the path to the north is open for busines. Otherwise, WMT is the most common night visitor on 600 at my location@cyberdad
That CKAT has become a pest here, hi! The last re-logging I have of it is from this past January; that was :45 minutes of them, solid. But previously, they had been a logging from May.'22. CKAT must be a wonderful pilot station for northern latitude reception. :
I'm just one guy, but I like every AM bandscan that I've seen posted in these pages...including yours. Keep 'em coming!I might end up doing a FM Bandscan for Dayton, NV
But my AM bandscan from Dayton, NV flopped
Good stuff. Thx for sharing.First time AM DXing this fall. It's rather auroral tonight. One new one tonight!

1390 - KLOC CA, Turlock; TOH ID for KLOC 1390 and K290CN 105.9, Turlock, Radio Catolica, back into traditional Spanish religious music, under local KBBO, 2258 PT 9/20/23. NEW #830, 5KW at 624 miles. KLTX is usually dominant during aurora. Not tonight...
1460 has KRRS Santa Rosa mixing with KCNR Shasta. KUTI Yakima has been off the air for over 2 weeks now. I'm not sure whether they are on a silent STA or what, but 1460 has been wide open since the start of the month. I'm not hearing any sign of SS sports, needed KENO Las Vegas.
980 KFWB L.A. La Mera Mera very strong. 990 KATD/XECL mix. 1010 KCHJ over KIQI.
1300 KCMY Carson City mixed with Spanish (?) maybe...not hearing KROP's 500 watts.
On 730 is a very weak signal with 'Semi-Charmed Life' Third Eye Blind. Which is XEX Mexico City! // stream https://26153.live.streamtheworld.com/TDW730AM_SC
only 2nd time ever at 2200 miles! They run music overnight, just like XEW-900. Looks like they are running 60 KW now.
2305 local, full W Deportes ID into a Spanish rap song.
There are several Oregon stations in and out on various channels, like KFIR, KEX, and KPOJ, but most of the channels seem to be CA, NV, or further south.
Strong 1360 KRKK Rock Springs noted instead of a CA station, so some channels are already (at 2320 PT) going to semi-Au mode.
