Post your latest DX

Tonight in downtown Los Angeles was another exceptional DX night. I was able to receive 92.9 XHFZO "Amor Mio" from Ensenada Mexico, 180 miles away. This is the first time I ever picked it up. Usually the HD sideband for 93.1 KCBS would be in the way, but not tonight!
The only station I couldn't identify was 92.7 which was in Spanish. It was not KYLA from Fountain Valley.

Landed at Houston airport last night, saw all the reports of auroral activity. Went down the street to the local park hoping to hear something interesting, maybe something exotic from south of me. What I heard was interesting, but didn't match my expectation. For example, all from 11:00-11:45pm CST

WABC and WFAN both dominating their frequency. WABC was almost in the clear with usual KKOB and assumed XEACH way down in the mix. WFAN was good, with no sign of typical KSKY and Mexicans. KTNN was also stronger than usual with chanting under WFAN. Both WABC and WFAN are new loggings.
WCCO and KSTP both dominating their frequency w/no sign of usual powerful Mexicans
900 was dominated by big band music and "WKDA Lebanon" ID's after every few songs. XEW was completely absent, but did catch a quick ID from new logging WJTH Calhoun GA
After sunset, 1620 is usually Radio Rebelde and semi-local WTAW. Last night WNRP Gulf Breeze FL was almost local strength.

“900 was dominated by big band music and "WKDA Lebanon" ID's after every few songs.”
• must be on daytime power at night. no way 136 watts is as strong and almost daily occurrence as I’m hearing them in No. Illinois.

“Last night WNRP Gulf Breeze FL was almost local strength”
• anyone who needs Florida as a state should be able to log them, get them pretty often up here. another FL.: WONQ 1030 “Party 93.9” Orlando has been heard often.

250 miles south of DFW, I have yet to pull in WJR. At night, it is all XEABC. WCCO is another one I haven’t received since the 80’s. JimSatx has better DX capabilities and may have pulled in both. He’s 35 miles from me.

I’ll hear 830 WCCO periodically, but WJR is a rarity here in NW San Antonio. XEABC is very dominant on 760; plus, XEZZ and XEDGO pop in from time to time. I’ve yet to log anything else on 760.

I havent heard Eight Thee Ohh -WCCO up here because of KSDP but i have heard KSTP several times. The only Detroit signal ive heard is 950

thanks for the suggestion wildthangjim

WQZQ - that’s what I thought it could be, stream did not match. of course, they kept on gabbing, any possible ID, slogan, local business, area codes, towns - on the fade

radio-locator has "Classic Hits 93.3" while amdxer format FSR VSIN SPORTSTALK

well…have to keep checking…

IIRC, 1410 WNGL in Mobile carries some Relevant Radio programming.

I was getting a fair signal from ZNS-3 Wednesday night around 1830 CST. First time in ages, and maybe the most readable signal ever for me. This, even with WSJC booming in, likely still on day power.

Do you ever get any other KC or MO stations?

@wildthangjim Good catch, I see on WNGL's web page they were carrying Daybreak (a Relevant Radio program) at that time. That is more likely what I heard.

WNGL is common here. I’ve suspected I’m getting them and WMYR simultaneously but haven’t been able to prove it.

that’s incredible…770-ish miles! their tower pattern looks like they are aimed right at your area. 90° tower height and ionospheric conditions were definitely in your favor!

@radiofan2023 Yes, I have heard a total of 30 stations from Missouri. Kansas City metro stations roll into DFW easily.

9 stations heard at my DFW location from the Kansas City area:

610 KCSP
710 KCMO
760 KCCV
810 WHB
980 KMBZ
1190 KDMR
1250 KYYS
1510 KCTE
1660 KWOD
Here in Houston, I've heard all of these except KCSP, KCCV, and KDMR
