Post your latest DX

Also in Southwest Iowa with my Sangean HDR-14, WPHT from Philadelphia and WABC from NYC, both for the first time. I never got them when I was in Eastern Iowa.

that seems really odd to not being able to receive two 50 kW omnidirectional stations for however long one lived there. I wonder if someone could explain what physics are involved: some kind of a skip zone? these stations are too far away to be in a cancellation zone, that would be more like 75-100 miles from the tower, and the sound of the carrier wave would be distorted, but at least some kind of signal would be present...

In Iowa City I lived in a couple high rise apartments, so that probably didn’t help, but I also lived in a house and couldn’t get them in there, either.

From Houston, this evening

920 KYFR IA Shenandoah 11/16 1743 nonstop choral and other religious mx //stream. Poor signal under semi local KYST, KARN
1030 WGSF TN Memphis 11/16 1734 ID in SS as Ambiente 1030 and 101.5 FM, variety mx in SS. Good signal u/KCTA. Surely still on day power.

1340 unID 11/16 1700 Bloomberg Radio, no audible ID or local ads. This must be KVNN Victoria TX, ~110 miles from here, but it's frustrating. Don't see any Bloomberg affiliates on 1340 in the NRC Log, KVNN is listed as news/talk but has no stream, no website. Their parent company has a webpage with list of stations and a phone number but no other info.

More sunset DX tonight from Houston

650 KGAB WY Cheyenne 11/17 1841 Ramsey show, ad break w/Cheyenne and 307 a/c mentions //stream. Good in WSM null, gone at 1845 power-down
1010 XEPA Puebla 11/17 1834 "Ke Buena" ID and music under KBBW and in WJXT null.
1140 KXRB SD Sioux Falls 11/17 1759 ad for Wild Willies Casino in Sioux Falls, ID "Real Country Variety 100.1/1140" into mx //stream

I used to live in Laramie, 30-40 miles west of Cheyenne and actually heard WSM A few times and KMTI once or twice.

KGAB is licensed to Orchard Valley, and like K.. whatever 1630 there is now, licensed to Fox Farm... OV and FF are just "Communities" and not actual cities.

11/18 5:00PM CST 1330KC WBTM Danville, VA 1kw three towers nighttime.

I heard "WBT" without the "M," but since this isn't 1110 KC, it has to be VA. This is a new one. Right near/after sunset is always a real good time for dx.

Which post are you asking about?
Sorry, please disregard this post. I found where this was from. The site has been a little weird on my end recently. I keep getting the message to join the site, when I'm already a member. Don't know if the mods can do anything about this. That question from "Sasha23" kept showing up at the bottom of my screen, and I couldn't post anything until I responded to it. Don't know what's happening.

Picked up WJOX (690) from Birmingham, Alabama around 5:30 EST this evening in Pickerington, Ohio. First timer for me. Came in decently well over WLW slop, enough for me to clearly hear an ESPN Radio update at the bottom of the hour.
A promo mentioning sister stations 94.5 and 100.5 gave me enough to search Google with and I found WJOX very quickly.
I wondered for a minute or two if I was hearing WOKV from Jacksonville, which also would have been a first.

KBAD-920 Las Vegas nearly alone tonight with VSIN sports betting talk...no sign of KXLY Spokane at 9:15PM PT here. Interestingly, CBK-540 is strong, CBW-990 is mixed with XECL, and KCHJ-1010 is often over a reduced signal of CBR. After effects of last week's Au?
KBOZ-1090 Bozeman is way over Tijuana with classic country music.

from Yakima WA

also flamethrower KNEU-1250 Roosevelt UT way over KWSU. Day power?

I can tell you that, here in SE Wisconsin, the conditions have been...unusual. Wednesday afternoon (11/19) @ 2:30 PM CST the AM Band above 1200 sounded almost like full nighttime skip. Yet @ 10:00 PM it was almost dead.

From NW San Antonio:

A couple of weeks ago my local 1250 KZDC (ESPN) was off air for a few days. On Nov. 9 starting at 19:05 CT with my Sangean PR-D4W aimed E/W, I heard occasional snatches of Bloomberg Radio popping up under KDEI (Port Arthur, TX), which was dominating. That matched the Sunday night station schedule for WHNZ in Tampa, FL, 5.9 kW at 973 miles - a new logging.

The next morning with KZDC still off, I heard KHIL in Willcox, AZ (5 kW, 691 miles), at 7:51 CT with classic country songs, local ads, and a station ID, followed by Gene Autry's rendition of "God Bless America." I'd heard KHIL once briefly at night a few years back with KZDC partially nulled, but I was only able to identify it by a stream match on the songs.

Before sunrise that same morning at 5:35 CT with my Digitech AR1780, I logged another new one, KCLI in Clinton, OK (108 watts, 409 miles). It was airing sports talk with The Score and Fox Sports IDs plus local ads.
