Louisville has a morning guy (music heavy) and just announced a week or two ago that they hired a mid-day jock.
So some staff in a few months I bet.

TheRob said:The Gen X station here in Kansas City has one live jock so far; it transitioned out of a Hot AC format. They are actually taking pot shots on the air at Jack FM, which has three live jocks and has been moderately successful. I wonder if two "variety/adult hits" stations have ever competed like that in the same market.

Its a good station but needs to broaden there playlist more i am talking about louisville. If i here losing my religion or two princes or all i wanna do i will scream but to be fair they do go somewhat deep but it is much better then that piece of trash louie fm that was the previous occupant of 100.5 in the ville.
Wish we had a cool alt station like u all do w cd101/1025![]()
They take some getting used to but now I don't mind them at all. They are definitely different though.Nu_Roo_2 said:Even if I liked 101's music, I just can't stand their goofy-sounding jocks. They sound like they're playing 1979 hip DJ, and seem full of themselves when they should be embarrassed instead. They're the only station in town where I think the jocks are truly, truly bad.

Not only are they playing some jams from back in the day, they're playing remixes of some of these songs! I just heard Usher's "You Make Me Wanna" with a dance beat.
Kudos to Clear Channel!

Has there actually been an increase, or is it just a function of when I've happened to tune in? While hip-hop should definitely be part of the mix, it seems like one of the elements that could be most polarizing in concentrated doses.

I actually noticed the opposite. Quite a few 80s and Hot AC tracks in bunches. A lot of Gin Blossoms, U2, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Also, when they do play anything remotely hip-hop, it's the same 5 or 6 songs.
