Rewind 94.9 is on.

Wow - I feel for what few fans WYGY had....96.5, then 94.9 AND 96.5, then 94.9, then 97.3, then 94.9 again, now 97.3 again. I still think 94.1 will switch to country eventually.

Or The return of The Beaver 96and a half. I can hear those jingles in my head now. I just tuned to 94.9 and heard Rhythm of the night which sounded like it was playing the beginning of it over and over then 1 0 seconds of dead air into a commercial. Oh by the way, The audio processing sounds like crap.

Yeah I thought I was having a dream when I scanned my radio on 94.9 and almost thought Mojo was back!!!! Didn't they just flip to The Wolf like a few months ago (November)? Yeah some of the programming sounds like a last second switch was made....a bit of dead air, a repeat to the start of the same song 3 times in a row. I don't think "Rewind" is that bad...so far. I wish they would have put The Sound back on 94.9 and Rewind on 97.3.....

yeah boneheadville still doesn't get that the sound wasn't the problem, the problem is the country format, like what he said above the sound should be on 94.9 and rewind on 97.3

In the pre-consolodation days we used to have format-of-the-month club members. The more things change.....

MOJO (the original) should still be on 94.9.

Smart move especially when your competition in CC and Cumulus are not able to respond.

WYGY is still 94.9. WSWD is still 97.3. The call letters stayed. Just the country move back to 97.3 not the call letters. I heard a promo for Rewind and they used WYGY as the call letters when listening to 94.9.

At 12am they messed up and put wolf music on 94.9 for a few minutes and 97.3 went silent lol. At 12:05 wolf is back on 97.3 but only the right channel is working not the left lol. Well it works a little with static off and on the left channel lol.

Wow, so The Sound is no more. They had over a 3 share on the 94.9 signal and as soon as they got shipped to 97.3, the bottom fell out.

I don't see "Rewind 94.9" getting the numbers that Sound did on that signal. Meanwhile the country format will NEVER get any listeners with it changing frequency every few months.
FAIL!

The Sound started dying when their original PD Tommy BoDean left...He had that station sounding great, and then the bottom falls out after his departure, and then they move to 97.3. Also, The Sound was Entercom's baby, not Bonneville's...I knew the end was near when they moved from 94.9 to the awful 97.3 signal. The Sound was a great station...We will miss you!

Now they need to put Smooth Jazz on little 97.3 and really pi$$ everyone off (except me). I truely believe it would do better than "The Wolf", and maybe put a small dent in WARM98.

Foolish me i thought bonneville was one company that knew what they were doing!!!What a stupid programming decision they made who the f wants to listen to old grandpa geezer 80s music iot will be a colossal failure of epic proportion and they deserve it!!!

This sound did better then the one in los angeles they are stupid people at bonneville and will regret what they did!!!

By the way this 80s station is god awful how any of you people can stand listening to this old geezer grandpa music is beyond me time to move on in life there is no market anymore for all 80s station!!!

For the record, first song on Rewind 94.9 was "Hungry Like The Wolf" by Duran Duran. "I Love Rock N Roll" by Joan Jett was second.
So far from looking at what they're playing are stale 80s songs that have been overplayed on other stations for years. To make this thing succeed they're going to have to go deeper into the 80s than this, i.e. like Star 107.9 in Columbus in the late 90s/early 2000s.
