I heard it correctly 94.9 is now WSWD. I heard them say it at 1:05am.

Hopefully they sound more and more like MOJO as the days progress.

We can only hope that Cumulus does something with 94.1
There are alot of irritated former Sound listeners. Look at Tri-State Media Watch, or on Kiese's blog and read the comments.
A format like that on 94.1 would certainly fare better than what is on it now. And it wouldn't be that much different, many of their current listeners would likely stay.
Cumulus would have a WALL of rock in town, and would be THE place to go for anyone trying to reach men.

Well, if he calls it grandpa music, he clearly doesn't understand the music or its target audience very well. That's fine; he doesn't have to. It's the kind of music I heard growing up (when it wasn't being forced to listen to country or 60's music). I'm not a grandpa, and I don't think I'm quite old enough to be one. My ex-stepson, though, is about to finish his first year of high school. So, that time might not be too far off!
I've found Rewind to be a pretty good station to stream while I'm getting ready for work in the morning. I was previously streaming Bob FM out of Austin.
The Sound WAS a great station, but that was when Entercom launched the format in November 2006. Once Entercom exited stage left, The Sound became less and less of a priority. Had Entercom not sold off 94.9 The Sound would still be on the airwaves today. I notcied yesturday around 4pm that whoever was at the board for 94.9 turned the volume up on it Now I get a krackling over mogulating sound slightly from my stereo now. I reported it to them but they have not fixed it yet. it only happend when my EQ is on but when its off it dont do it. I know its not my EQ since all other local stions dont have the krackling or over mogulating sound. I notcice the krakle more from the right channle then the left only when thier is losts of bass in a song.
