I know these calls date back to the mid or late 1970's as they were used on a Los Angeles station before it was used on 105.9. Was there any AOR or Free Form radio stations in Fresno from the very late 1960's to mid 1970's on the FM dial?
KFIG,(94.5 moved to 101) Rays old hang out, in the Del Web building) KPHD (95.5 moved to 95.7)

This will just make KFRR that much better. I haven't listened to KRZR much since they ess-canned the Front Row for Mancow. They sure did bet on the wrong horse err cow there.
Hey if KFRR would be smart Dump Kevin& Bean and Love Lines, and hire local talent, how about those that worked at KRZR in the past, Rick, Doug and The Rev, and Koyote that knows Active Rock and KRZR. KRZR has always dominated over KFRR and from the start even when KFRR was "It justs rocks" playing active rock METAL artists with the alternative.
105.1 The Blaze of course is who I see being the one that will dominate.
Was that station owned by Pappas at that time? I remember when 107.5 was a Classic Rock station. "KCLQ". I actualled heard them on their simulcast AM station at 620 (now ethnic KIGS). I also remember when they were Country KCML and simulcasted Modesto's KTRB-860 Country format. (years later, it would be the other way, with KTRB simulcasting All News KMPH-107.5)Earthradio Lives said:I used to commute between LA and Sacramento a lot around 1990, and clearly remember the Z Rock affiliate at 107.5 FM. I still have my Z Rock dogtags and stickers (107.5 MF....Z Rock). Their signal came in from the Grapevine through to Patterson along I-5. I visited the studios in November 1990 and picked up some of their stickers. They were on 4949 East Mc Kinley in those days, and the studios were total pandemonium.

Oh yea, how could I forget about KCLQ. Let's see "Joe Collins", anyone remember others that were on the air there? When radio was primarily live, & automation was expensive & unreliable. The lost art of people in control, not program consultant hell.
