Robin and Maynard now in talks with.....

hmmm.. well what about Robin and Maynard makes them sooo interesting and entertaining to listen to?? Whenever I did listen, I couldn't stand listening to some of their topics, and Robin and that smokers voice... couldn't stand it!

The deal with Robin and Maynard is either you get them or you don't, and this is independent of whether you are over 40 or not, as has already been proven. And part of the beauty of Robin and Maynard is they don't really give a rip if you get them or not. And those that do get them were greatly amused when someone who didn't get them called the show. It always made for high comedy, which those of us that do get them hope to enjoy again at some point or another. In the mean time, we must amuse ourselves by reading the opinions of those who don't get them on this board.

As far as R&M go I totally can identify with their brand sarcastic humor and the I don't give a rip attitude, but towards the end of this last run they were basically just calling it in every morning.

I am sure some of that was due to the situation they placed themselves in with the lawsuit, but it made for average at best morning radio.

Hopefully if they do pop-up on the dial in this market again they come back and do a show that sounds like they are happy to be doing and maybe earn back their preset on my radio.

Actually I never heard them 'calling it in' more than the stint they did when they got moved to afternoons on kzok. Perhaps they were actually loving it - because the extent to which they were calling it in was so atrocious that I found it making for good radio.
