Rock in New York City

Sean (Ross) also made mention of the fact that some stations (KROQ especially) had top spins of up to 60 spins a week. Interesting that the CHR philosophy limited lists and faster rotations are crossing many formats.

But 60 spins is just a bit more than Hot AC rotations, and much less than the 100-110 spins of the CHR variants.

I'd expect a station that has a primary 18-34 appeal to be spinning currents at that rate or higher.

The real question is not how fast the currents spin, but how many there are and how many current slots there are in each hour.

Radio 105.7 in Atlanta is definitely imaged like a Hot AC (in my opinion) - the pace is quick, the songs are slightly pitched, and most of the jocks, especially during the later part of the day, are upbeat and fast-paced in their presentation

After streaming other stations around the country, I feel like this is a unique and relatively new approach - and the main target demo seems to be 25+, judging by both the frequent 90s/2000s music rotation, the more conservative approach to new music, and by a majority of the ads

If it proves to be financially successful, I would hope there'd be efforts to remodel lower-rated Alternative stations to the WRDA model
