Rodney is a lousy reporter

Rodney gets no respect I tell you. He called his doctor with a bad case of diarrhea. - He put him on hold! He joined Gambler`s Anonymous. They gave him two to one he wouldn't make it. he told his doctor he wanted a vasectomy. He said, with a face like his, he don't need one.

No wait, wrong Rodney.

This just in, Cox medical plan is no longer paying claims made for Doctor Vinny BoomBots.

AtlBanker is a flat-out moron. How can you criticize a reporter for reporting on a bald faced lie when it was told to him by the actual parties involved. With whom is he supposed to verify the info, Mr. Banker? When reporters reported that we were going into Iraq because of WMD did you blame them or did you blame the guy who lied to them?

Why are we chewing on the hand that feeds us?

Take a minute and read some boards of markets that don't have someone who cares to give them "inside information". Dull.

Littlejohn asked why I left the WSJ. It wasn't voluntary. I was laid off along with the entire small business staff in 2001. I had worked at the AJC in the mid 1990s in the business section and the paper was kind enough to hire me back. I was already based in Atlanta so it all worked out well for me. And I was able to indulge my love for pop culture and got to cover radio, and as you all know, I'm a complete radio geek. My predecessor Miriam Longino who quit the AJC at about the same time I was let go at the WSJ, was nice enough to recommend me for her spot.

Thanks for the update, Rodney. However, to be frank, it's really no one's business why you moved from wherever you did.

Jealousy prevails - they wish they had your job (and of course, all of the critics think they could do it SOOO much better).

Keep on keepin' on!

For this topic to be generating 5 pages of posts in a short period of time with the majority of it positive, Rodney must be doing something right. I find his reporting to be refreshing. Not everybody would have supplied all of the details over what happened with this story. A simple retraction could have been written and that could have been all that was said rather than Rodney updating his story frequently with details as it was unfolding. You are lucky to have a journalist dedicated to radio who keeps you up to date even if it means he has to deal with some folks who will do anything for publicity.

Exactly. Well said, Dr. Jan.

A reasonable question, which got a reasonable answer. Thanks.
I would of thought print media was a more stable employer than electronic... wrong.

You don't need to be defensive Rodney. You should be thankful you even have a job. Times are rough. Someday maybe your Princeton degree will pay off. In the mean time you can tell us about 'DJs' and 'Dancing with The Stars'.

Guess we know who likes to live off of pessimism. Maybe Rodney loves what he's doing for a living even if it doesn't live up to your expectations of an Ivy League degree. We should all be so lucky. And besides, how many of us went to a school that's as gorgeous as Princeton?
