Only one slight problem with your suggestion...Nick said:101.9 should simulcast its sister station IQ 106.9.
They own it till November 1. Simulcast IQ 106.9 till then. Then claim the hurricane blew WRXP away.Giacomo Siffredi said:Only one slight problem with your suggestion...Nick said:101.9 should simulcast its sister station IQ 106.9.
Merlin Media no longer owns 101.9FM. Somehow, I doubt the stations new owners, CBS Radio, would contemplate that programming maneuver![]()

Not that 4 Times Square would fare any better in that regard, but there are a dozen or so FM aux facilities there. None for CBS properties (CBS has their aux just a block or two down Broadway at CBS's headquarters)

No, AMTRAK shuts down service because of the possibilities of trees and other debris on, and around, the tracks.crainbebo said:Now I've heard Amtrak will be shut down all over the Northeast on Monday due to the storm surge. Also millions of kids have no school as of tomorrow, including NYC Public Schools, and 72 shelters have opened up in the Tri-State area.
Imagine the DX when WABC or WCBS gets shut down! Probably Cuba and a lot of low power stuff...
