Now that I've managed to get myself out of the floor and back in my chair, all I can say is what an embarrassment for Triad. Jack 98-3 dropped to the bottom and is tied with 103.9.

Yeah, I did see the 12+ numbers online after I posted the question. It still doesn't tell the story but there's no way to whitewash a 1 (approximately) share is there! (Can I say that?)

Further irony, All Access reports KHJ's Pat Garrett and WAPE's Hoyle Dempsey are on the Beach in Savannah. I have heard radio in that town and now I have seen the numbers! Something is wrong with that picture!!! No it is not to late to bring back Oldies 98.3, and it is clear who the players should be!!!

Congrats to our very own WTKS-AM... a huge jump for them. And if you didn't know already. Program Director/Morning co-host Brian Mudd left a few weeks ago to program 2 station for CC in West Palm Beach.
All 6 CC stations are in the top 10 for the first time ever too.
Other comments on a few stations...
WLVH - kicking azz. Gary Young will be getting huge offers soon.
WSOK - E. Larry is an icon to the black community and it shows.
WQBT - Back up after an unjust Spring book. Star & Buck up slightly from Russ Parr
WJCL - up from Spring, but Fall to Fall looks bad. I thing Gator is slowly cutting into them
WYKZ - Fall to fall, down slightly. Could have been the Christmas music on Nov 1.
WTKS - as I said early - huge jump. Big talk radio book overall.
WFXH - ouch. They are down for a few straight.
WGZR - growly. Country lowalty takes time.

You are right, a one share can't be manipulated, esp. in a small market...
I'm going to place a bet that Jack will last one more book. Though I would like to see a broad-based 60's to 80's oldies format there...might allow Triad to C.Y.A. a little.

All I can say is WOW. It's almost hard to believe some of these moves. I hung out with Mike Buxser's son the other night at the Wild Wing cafe before he left for Germany. We had damn good laugh about what the hell has happend over there. It would be hard not to be embarrassed to work at that cluster at the moment. It boggles my mind to as why they blew up Oldies 98.3 and then the whole Christmas music on the 4th of July and flip of WLOW!!!!! Those stations always had good billing, usually the top two in the building, and had VERY loyal listeners. Especially Bolton and 98.3. You would have to adjust WLOW eventually to coincide with a lot of your listners either dying or saving their pennies for the nursing home. But, to just blow it up is plain stupid. And JACK? It's a complete joke where ever it is. Jammin Oldies part IV if you will. Starts out great, then just goes into the tank one or two books in. Of course, it didn't even do that here. GOD, I'm still laughing! The only smart thing Neuamnn ever did, except for trying to pull of the whole wife swap thing, was to get off the ship before the iceburg hit. Or, is that a mushroom cloud I see! lol...

A little defensive? Again you misundertand a statement for an attack or misundertand a statement of truth for crap but everyone has their own perception. Don't make it personal and stick to the facts. And after your station went down in the last two books you should be happy about the one share increase. Congrats!

When people talk about people's bosses, co-workers, friends, it is personal because some people like the people they work with/for. Might be a difficult concept for chronically miserable people to accept? Keep being negative and hiding behind a monitor...sounds like a fulfilling life, enjoy it.

C'mon, do we really need another urban/black/rhythmic/gospel station in this market? There are plenty of choices for the Savannah listener. It's time we ego-maniac radio people put our egos aside and start doing some good radio in this town so the listener won't turn to the many other media choices out there and leave us all without a job. Then maybe we can use this board to compliment each other on great breaks, great bits, great promotions etc. We all know you can make any ratings book look good, but here are the facts about the Savannah ratings.....The Beat and LOVE can't beat E93,WJCL has consistently been the best country station in the market,WIXV and WRHQ are the only rock stations that matter,KISS has been flat for 4 books straight, and let's be honest...the 1 and 2 share stations aren't a factor in the market. The real story in any market are the stations that stay at the top and the ones that go from worst to first. The mediocre 4 share stations will always be mediocre 4 share stations.
