So Did anybody give Danny Bonaduce a listen?

Settled-in? He could be getting tucked in for all it matters. Nobody's listening. Any numbers come from the music.

The guy's a tool. "I started the BEST fight." "I did the MOST drugs." "I broke a sink with my bare hands." "I nailed the FATTEST hooker." "I smoke more cigarettes before 6am, then the Marlboro man smoked his whole life." "I work out during commercials!" "LOOK AT MEEEEEEE!"

That's awesome radio.
 
I don't know what numbers you are looking at BUT>>>i'd take the Danny Bonaduce show over the "Jackass reruns on Radio Show" that was on before his arrival. The numbers I saw are way better than the show that was on ysp this time last year...I can't remember the name of that chuckle fest but it doesn't matter anyway. Any new show takes time to get momentum and with a cume of over 800k, he's not doing too bad :)
 
Oh we have a classic Kidd Chris hater here. Who cares about him? He's gone! Show was better in afternoons anyway, he turned into a major jerk when he went to mornings. I don't see how throwing insults at a long gone show is relavent to this discussion but knock yourself out. You really stuck it to him with "Jackass reruns on Radio Show." Don't P&S have a relationship with Jackass thru Cassie? And don't they literally do or did Jackass stunts?

800k cume? For Bonaduce? That has to be his grand total cume since November. And regardless, any numbers come from the music.

And time isn't a luxary afforded to anybody anymore, have you been living under a rock the last five years? A great man once said... "Time is the fire in which we burn. And my time is running out." Or maybe that was Dr. Soran from Star Trek, but whatever. It applies to Bonaduce.

Cume of over 800,000? What numbers are you looking at? He's under 165,000 in the month of December and is pulling a low 1 (6+).

Which has nothing to to with the fact that "Jackass Reruns on Radio" was running in the wake of the talk implosion, O&A drop, and "rock is back" cluster-f instead of the current semi-stable "rock you grew up with" cluster-f.

First let me just say that I don't hate ANYONEs show; Kidds, P&S, DeBella or the WAAAA fest during Sterns final days. Monster size numbers are long gone in mornings my friends. Too many sources of entertainment/info, in a too boring terrestrial radio market. The numbers I saw had Bonaduce pulling in the same numbers the rest of the station was performing, in the targeted demos. Not in 6+ numbers, which mean nothing to anyone other than the Disney Channel and Nickleodeon.
so my little P&S fan (sic) I really don't care who you prefer on the radio today, tomorrow or whenever, this discussions was about the Danny Bonaduce show. And again, I think he's doing better than expected.
 
Okay now I get it, Simon is just an idiot. He takes shots at a a show that has been gone a year taking us off topic, then reminds us this is a Danny Bonaduce thread and we should stay on topic. I started this thread I know what it's about!!!!

Who is coming off as a "little P&S fan (sic)?" I know I'm not.

Plus now try and bare with me. You said, "The numbers I saw had Bonaduce pulling in the same numbers the rest of the station was performing." Okay, now don't you think, and I've said this twice already, the music is getting any numbers that Bonaduce has? He does play a lot of it.

Nobody is tuning in to hear his take on American Idol last night. Nobody is tuning in to hear his awesome stories of ripping phone books in half. Nobody is tuning in to hear him read a wacky news story and riff on it for 4 mins. They're tuning in to hear AC/DC.

And you go right ahead thinking he's doing better than expected. Maybe you could make up some more ratings he's not getting. I heard his cume is over a million now.
 
Is it the cume numbers or the share numbers that are the same as the rest of the day? Because if it's the cume numbers, that's bad.

Isn't morning drive supposed to out-cume the rest of the day by a lot on pretty much every station (with the possible exception of background music stations like B-101)? More people are listening to the radio in the morning. That's why morning drive is prime time. If you can't get more listeners than you're getting in midday, even though more people are listening to the radio in the morning than in midday, isn't something's wrong?
 
I love the Danny Bonaduce show.I don't miss it.he must be doing something right he has to shows one in Philly and one in LA.I think he will be on WYSP for many more years :)..
 
Wow Tommy, you've really mastered the word 'to.' When you get to the 2nd grade they'll teach you about 'too' and 'two.'

And you're right he will be on WYSP for years and years. Or until the next big holiday weekend.
 
I'm in the mood to beat a dead horse. I just read an interview with Bonaduce at fmqb.com.

Here is something he said...

To be honest with you, not to sound like a big blow-hard or anything like that, but nobody wants to take the gloves off with me. Nobody’s trying, I wouldn’t think, to say, “Okay, let’s see how mad we can make Danny Bonaduce.” I don’t think it’s in anybody’s best interests.

That isn't even a metaphor for radio!!! He literally means he wants to physically get into fights with people! What an A-hole.
