You know what's SO funny? ANYONE on here who thinks JCR is doing something right is called an insider, lackey or some other nasty name. I guess you people are HUGE Clear Channel fans, huh? Yeah, they do it right all the time. LOL.
If you ask me, it's CC, CBS, Cox and the other big companies that messed up this business and killed both jobs and competition. If I want to hear music, I'll listen to my ipod, not come voicetracked station that plays the same 250 tunes from a jock that can't pronounce the names of the local towns because he lives 1000 miles away. If I want news, I'll check CNN or MSNBC on my computer, not some so-called news radio station that gives me a little piece of a story than directs me to their website that doesn't have nearly enough news as the other 2 I mentioned. If I want talk, I'll download a podcast so I can listen to the host I want from start to finish, when I want it, just like Tivo on my TV.
Satellite doesn't really figure in much. Not everyone wants to pay for it. Plus, they are starting to squeeze in commercials every so often on their music channels. Given everything above, who needs it? XM is going under anyway.
Radio is OVER. It's for old people. Ask a 16 year old what radio station he/she listens to. See if they even know what AM is.
