radiorob2.0 said:My LM experience was visiting the facility ten years ago out on Greendale Rd (1300 transmitter site). The place was a dump. They added office space to the transmitter building and to enter the new part you walked through a hole in a wall as if somebody took a sledge hammer and made an entrance. The lobby was the size of my bathroom and had a hole in the wall. The place was infested with bugs, rodents and potential visitors from two prisons within walking distance. If you had a butter knife or similar object then you had a key to the place. At the time there were three stations there and Martin was looking for more properties. Technically it was held together just enough to function. Phil (forgot his last name) who used to work at WLAP was the engineer. Phil had the ability to make things better but had no budget and was forced to spend his time fulfilling LM's "pie in the sky" wish to make 1300 a 50kw facility, which never happened or could've happened. Of course 1300 as it is has the best nighttime signal in Lexington but what do I know.....
I understand they have moved to downtown to better facilities but just the same I hope Dale doesn't have his hopes too high.

Mix has the better advantage with signal.
