I wonder if Bonneville has chased away all their listeners, with the exception of 2.2?
In all that matters, 25-54, KTAR AM and FM come out the big winner. KFYI is a 2.6, while KTAR FM is a 2.5 and KTAR AM is a 2.5. They now have, over at Bonneville, a nice 5 share 25-54 in the combo!
The 12+ is irrelevant, which is why they give it away.
No offense, but potentially, this is the silliest argument I've ever heard. You are saying that two stations owned by the same company but with completely different formats (albeit same calls) are beating a 'competitor'. Well, la-dee-fricken-da! How about this: ClearChannel combined beats out Bonneville. I mean, what foolishness is that? "KTAR AM and FM beat out KFYI" - one is a sports station, the other is news/talk.
You know who else is beating out KFYI? If you combine CBS Radio's KOOL and KMLE... what point does that prove? nothing really, except two stations can combine to have a higher share of the audience, great. In all probability, two people combine to make more income than I do exclusively.
Yes folks, these are the people that are a part of the radio biz, can't imagine why it's in the state that it's in. Sheesh.
Dude..go talk to your sales manager about the above info.
He'll educate you on the business of radio.
