Spooky Songs for Halloween

Thriller - Michael Jackson
I'm Your Boogie Man - KC & the Sunshine Band

On October 27, 2011 I posted on the Weather and Sky Board "White Christmas", by The Ravens. Little did I know that there would be a surprise nor'easter/snowstorm covering a broad swath of area east of the Mississippi River. So I shall place it on the Spooky songs for Halloween.

"...quoth the raven, 'nevermore'".

Some years ago a Baltimore disc jockey, in a shuffle of days and epochs and times and places made Halloween into Christmas and vice versa. We had another one try it on for size so I posted the above. Of course we will not tolerate scary Christmas. LOL

White Christmas - The Ravens.

At least (well this year, anyway) that area "east of the Mississippi River" was also only well north of the Ohio River. I'm east of the Mississippi but well SOUTH of the Ohio, and it was relatively nice and warm here for Halloween. But I heard in our weather history yesterday that Nashville (where I live now) indeed had a freak snowstorm (several inches!) on November 2, 1966. But I also recall an inch or two of snow on the ground in west Tennessee (where I lived at the time) for Halloween in 1993. That was very unusual for us!

Moving on to Thanksgiving songs now: "Over the River and Through the Woods." ;D

Thank You - Sly & the Family Stone
Be Thankful For What You Got - William DeVaughn

CCR also did a pretty rocking version of "I Put A Spell On You".
