Will K104 reclaim #1???

As long as K104 is as lazy as they are, they will not re-claim the number one spot. They are a hip hop station with no mixshows, and nothing out of the ordinary to listen to. Their morning show is dull now since they got rid of everyone that made the show funny and interesting. They need to make some serious changes. Sounds like the Mavericks huh?..... ;D
Since last year when they started to decline in how the station is going on now, I said to myself "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" I think K104 is still good except they repeat too much now and having no mixshows and not having The Wig and Nannette Lee on the Morning Show. They need to go back to how it was before 2006 to see if it can come back up to #1. Also add some more R&B too. I like how they play new music long before anybody else could play it.

For now.

Anyone else REALLY excited about the PPM??

Based on Philly's results...

If you are Liberman, Univision, Radio One, or Service, the answer is no.

Clear Channel dumped the Spanish-language format it had on its 104.5 in Philly for modern rock. The widely reported reasoning was that some of the minority-targeted formats do not rate as high with the new reporting system.

One thing interesting about the Philly PPM is that just about every stations cume goes up and TSL goes down compared to the diary system. The TSL decline is especially sharp with Urban stations. Under the diary system, there was more reporting of long stretches of exclusive listening to the biggest Urban stations. PPM is showing a whole lot more button pushing is going on which leads to more fragmentation.

Have you ever sat in the car with a female teen? Constant button pushing and yapping on the cell. I'm surprised any radio listening is being done. But then again there ain't much to listen to. :'( unless you listen to the Edge. Good imaging, decent music, good talent and the best audio quality in town.

I think the ethnic stations and "The Ticket" benefit quite a bit from listeners who are real "fans" and write down more exclusive listening for long stretches than most other radio stations.
