If you program a station as "adult standards", who says you have to stick to just the songs that some programmer somewhere defines as being included in the format? Branch out a little. I'm not talking about a Jack format or anything, but why not add the songs which have become "standards" over the years? Isn't it the goal of standards to create a nice "easy listening" sound? Nobody ever said that sort of sound couldn't include songs which were recorded after a particular date. This sort of format truly would work in Asheville if the right folks tried it.
