What I thought there was a court order that if he does not hand over all his stations then he would be in prison or lose his companies FCC license for the stations in question.Not so fast! He's now appealing the decision to a higher court:

That's a pretty remarkable hearing. Royce International now owes the receiver $451,000 just in the receiver's legal fees incurred to attend all of these hearings.

The receiver sold the stations in December, but the FCC hasn't approved it. So Stolz feels he still has a shot.
As is his right under the laws of the land. Right? What is he supposed to do, just lie down and surrender? In that case he really would be rightly considered crazy. He has paid the original suit, now he needs to pay the price incurred by his refusal to pay the music rights fees along with the costs to the receiver for their work. I think all parties agree that the music licensing fees have been paid now. However, the judge says the receiver must also be paid before the receivership can be terminated, an amount that runs into the hundreds of thousands, largely because of the legal fees accumulated through Stolz's ceaseless motions.
