I think that B96 could benefit from maybe tweaking with the Lunchparty formula a little bit. Maybe two hours, say 11-1, of the current Lunchparty mixes. Why not try to go the route of, say, what Q101 does after Mancow? Listeners are still on B after Eddie and JoBo, and I'd be willing to bet a large percentage of that audience is slightly older than B's demographic. So, why not a throwback hour from 10-11? Then two hours of Lunchparty cd's.
Hell, why not let Middleton mix for an hour? God knows he has the talent for it...spice it up a little bit during the lunch hour, typical lunch hour, say 12-1.
Personally I think B should rid themselves of the "eddie and jobo" countdown at 9, since its the same damn thing we get at 9pm. Maybe move Brian to 9, let him do a throwback thing from 9-10, then proceed with the typical Lunchparty. Then again, I'm not sure about their current numbers from 9-10, just an idea.
With regards to the night show, why fix what's not broken? S&R do good numbers, and appeal to the demographic. I'm not gonna argue that they do probably alienate the older listeners, but I don't think that is much of B96's concern at this point.
