Here in Denver, we've had quite a few shows jump from ship to ship over the years. Here's a few off the top of my head
JEOPARDY
Started on KCNC 4 way back when (WELL before the big switch). Went to KMGH 7 (Where it spent the next generation primarily as their 6:00 PM staple after the switch). Now on KDVR 31 (Where it airs in the same familiar 6:00 PM timeslot)
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
Same as Jeopardy only it never aired on KCNC 4 (They only carried the NBC Daytime version) & the only timeslot it's EVER aired at (To the best of my recollection) is 6:30 PM
ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT
Started out on KMGH 7 @ 6:30 PM when it first launched. Now on KUSA 9 (Where it has spent the last generation) at the same time
OPRAH
Started out on KMGH 7 but then moved to KCNC 4, bouncing back & forth between the 3:00 PM & 4:00 PM timeslots on both stations (Mostly KMGH 7 until KCNC dumped their 4:00 PM news to accomondate Oprah & Dr. Phil when both were on)
STAR TREK: TNG
KWGN 2 aired the series throughout its entire run Saturdays @ 6:00 PM. Now it airs on Indie KCDO 3
(As a sidenote, KTVD 20 still has (Last time I checked) the local rights to Star Trek: Voyager as it was/still is the only Denver station to air it after its UPN run)
BRONCOS PRESEASON FOOTBALL (I mention this because this has a bearing on who gets first dibs on Monday & Thursday Night rights to games on ESPN & NFL Network)
Started out on KCNC 4 & has historically bounced back & forth between KCNC 4 & KUSA 9
Currently KUSA 9 has the rights (With the games airing on co-owned KTVD 20 which also carries MNF on ESPN & NFL Network exclusive TNF games (Although lately the TNF/i] games have typically gone to KCNC 4 due to it being a CBS O&O & the NFL's partership with CBS)
For a brief period of time, MNF & TNF games could also be seen on KWGN 2 & KDVR 31 as well (But the sound quality was almost always TERRIBLE compared to KTVD 20 & the networks themselves)
CHEERS
Started out on KUSA 9 (Then with ABC) @ 11:05 PM but then moved to KMGH 7 @ 10:35 PM
HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT SIDENOTE - It was because KMGH 7 decided to stick with Cheers that KUSA 9 ended up with the NBC affiliation after the Big Switch. Had this not happened, KMGH 7 (In all likelihood) would be an NBC affiliate today given how things shook out in the end
There's enough to wet your appetite
Cheers & 73
