Tejano to return to Austin

FYI the Regional Mexican industry is hanging by a thred too only because the Corrido & Duranguense genres are carrying the banner for them since Norteno,Mariachi/Ranchera & Banda music genres are also in slumps.

That is totally untrue.

Duragüense is a tiny part of regional Mexican; it's basically banda with a clarinetter. There are a few big hits, but the genre can not stand on its own.

Corridos have been around for more than 100 years, and are also a small part of regiona.

The mainstay is norteña, with ranchera and banda and grupera all being part of the blend is that is Regional Mexican.

The formula is not on a decline.

There's no whining. They're just stating facts. As limited as the coverage of a translator is, it is a shame to have it ruined by a pirate in one of the traditional Hispanic population centers of Austin.

Anyone know the status of the 95.1 pirate these days? I am curious.

i believe the 95.1 pirate is now on 94.1. in far south austin, it fights with another pirate that's been on 94.1 for a while.
