If Fantasy by Aldo Nova can be played on the Fox,bring on Taxxi.And the Blaze does need some tweaking.Pink Floyd is not classic rock that really rocks.And I'm sorry Jen is terrible alone,her voice just grinds on you like nails across a chalk board.

I agree with Farney, Jen is the best in the morning, and "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova is a much more legendary one hit wonder than "I'm leaving" by Taxxi, and don't get me started with the comment you made about Pink Floyd.

Talk about a touchy bunch of people.WOW !!!!! I was using Taxxi as an example of all the 80's and 90's songs out there but still in the Fresno market we are lucky to have Pink Floyd,Bob Seger,CCR,John Mellencamp and all the other snoozers that are in the 50 song rotation at our so called classic rock stations.Example when the Fox does play a Stones song it is either Angie,Start Me Up,Beast of Burden or Brown Sugar.How about Hang Fire or One Hit to the Body ? They (FOX) promoted a Night Ranger concert a few months ago , when was the last time you heard Sing Me Away , Sentimental Street or When You Close Your Eyes on Fresno Radio ? KKDJ ? But yet I can (and have) turned on KJFX,KKBZ & KIOO and on different occasion had all 3 playing the same song at the same time,and yes one was a Pink Floyd snoozer and one was a tired and over played Guns & Roses song.Kenrayc and people like yourself are why people are going to XM/Sirius and talk radio.

As for Ms Lipp,I was working radio in the late 70's to late 80's both in Fresno and Knoxville with success as both a jock and MD. And my statement still stands,she needs a partner.

I've had a fairly successful career myself in Fresno and Buffalo. I'd been asking for someone to bounce off for the past year, and I actually have a guy in studio now for the past month who is working out rather well. It's fine to disagree with people, I have no issues there. Hiding behind a screen name and throwing out comments like "nails on a chalk board" is really just juvenile, IMO. May you find all the success you seek. We all have the right to try to grab it. Rock on.

Kris is friggen awesome, the changes made at the Blaze (and KFRR for that matter) in the past few weeks make me happy KRZR is gone. I do like the ROCK 105 idea however.

First of all Kris is and good addition to Jen's show, Jen you rock.

VOL 559 Night Ranger is a good band I like "4 in the Morning" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me", but for a station like The Blaze to put that back to back with Metallica "When Bells Toll" and Godsmack "Voodoo" would be disastrous , Hey I like Talking Heads "Once in a Life Time" that doesn't get airplay, but this is today, not 1985, you mentioned XM, well you wouldn't here "Sister Christian" on the Boneyard station, maybe on the 80s station, or Classic Rewind. I agree maybe somebody in town should do an 80s station and include New Wave 80s, maybe KHIT, but not on THE BLAZE.

I respect your opinion but I disagree.I would love to hear a 4 song set that had "Welcome Home" , "For Those About To Rock" , "I Stand Alone" and "Sing Me Away" and so would alot of other guys and gals my age (45).

I miss Jen Lipp! I used to listen to her voice tracked show on KMRQ-Rock 96.7. The Front Row Morning Show! Great morning show! I really wished it was simulcasted rather than voice tracked. Her best radio partner has to be Chris Daniels though I never had a chance to hear her with Rick Roddam, though he had a good show on KMRQ too. Jen, we need to get Lotus to buy those CC Modesto Stations so they can voicetrack your show on Rock 96.7!

And so as not to offend wireless with off topic- back to the Beat. I still think they need to add jocks. If you want to hear old MTV Music to go CDs and Jock Jams, you could easily pick the selections and the order. I like a little personality with my music in any format

Jen and Chris Daniel were a team for the ages...2 amazingly talented people making great radio (with Brad Giese too)...but, to tell the truth, Jen Lipp was born to do her own show...she's not a sidekick, she's a lead...and the fact that she's the only female solo lead in rock radio today is a testament to her talent, her ambition, and her work ethic...that said, Jen is wrong about the Beat...Gen X Rhythmic is a format that was MADE FOR FRESNO...it's a long overdue format and it's gonna be HUGE in Fresno...RIP KRZR, a station that gave bad taste a good name

@JennLipp...I started at a small AM station here in Fresno when I was 12 if you must know then on to a FM.I also went to Knoxville where I graduated from UT while working at a rock station there until my return to Fresno.Just a word of advice,next time someones gives you there opinion on how you sound over air,just take it in and dont get all butt hurt over it.Do you really think these people on here are going to tell you any different,no because they are your friends.

I'm the same age, and couldn't get a work permit to work at Jack in the Box until I was 15 or 16 back then.

I really dont have to justify my work history to anybody on here.But I will say that when a friend of the family owns the station,you find ways to get around laws.I just came to to give some input and opinions,some people are just so sensitive maybe they need to stay off.Jen is a public figure and if she cant handle a critique then maybe she needs to switch professions and trust me,what I said is tame compared to what other people have told me.

The Beat: what a sad thing that KRZR was replaced by the very music popular with people KRZR listeners hated in high school. I think my wife listens a little (she’s a channel surfer, nobody’s P1), but I think it stinks on ice. In my opinion it’s further evidence that CC has no respect for heritage, core listeners, or anything greater than the bottom line.

My fantasy is that this heinous pop-culture vomitorium fails miserably, that the people responsible for the decision are publicly shamed, and that KRZR makes a triumphant return before 2012.

My friends, THAT would make for a fantastic sign of the apocalypse…or at least a better soundtrack…

Hey it could happen. CC's KMRQ-Rock 96.7 in Modesto changed from Active Rock to Spanish Oldies "La Preciosa" in 2005 despite high ratings. Almost 3 years later, KMRQ changed formats back to Active Rock. So it could happen!
