Look, bubba: As much as those of us working in media do indeed expose ourselves to critique and criticism (even from pathological liars & headphone sniffers) that doesn’t change the fact that YOU kicked things off with an off-topic critique of Lipp. You want the right to make unqualified statements about people, “Media Personalities” or otherwise? They/We have an equal right to tell you to go fly a kite.
Your OPINION sounds like nothing more than sour grapes from a wannabe/neverwas. I’ve never seen Lipp get ‘butt-hurt’ over anything…
She’s a class act and a quality broadcaster. This is considerably more than I can say for you.
Maybe you should consider offering something less subjective and negative…like another string of lies about your days in radio before potty training.

Aaand…back to the topic:
The Beat: what a sad thing that KRZR was replaced by the very music popular with people KRZR listeners hated in high school. I think my wife listens a little (she’s a channel surfer, nobody’s P1), but I think it stinks on ice. In my opinion it’s further evidence that CC has no respect for heritage, core listeners, or anything greater than the bottom line.
My fantasy is that this heinous pop-culture vomitorium fails miserably, that the people responsible for the decision are publicly shamed, and that KRZR makes a triumphant return before 2012.
My friends, THAT would make for a fantastic sign of the apocalypse…or at least a better soundtrack…
