KVET has gone back to using the "Genuine Austin Original" after dropping it for awhile. Probably a reaction to KOKE coming back.

Is KVET using Ray Benson's liners? It would be funny to hear him voicing competing stations.

Would have been funny if they got a cease and desist letter from the 'Real Country' folks for using that stupid 'Real Country Variety' liner and infringing on a trade mark.

Not a good place to be with KOKE FM entering the picture. They're sure to get a lot of sampling just from people sliding back and forth between KVET and KASE.

Wonder where KVET will bottom out? They took a great station and turned it into an ipod of mediocre 80s and 90s country music, and got handsomely rewarded for it.

Is KASE next? it's been dropping, not nearly as dramatic, but still a full point from Jan through June can't be all that reassuring.

Sad, one of my favorite stations to this. I don't even tune in any more at any time. Sad.

KVET dropped Ray as the station voice right about when Joel Burke got there. No conflict there other than the fact that KVET management is pissed.

If management is pissed, I'd suggest they get over themselves, they got rid of everybody so they could 're-invent' KVET. And they've been very successful at it, they turned a quality well run, well respected station, into a mediocre bottom dwelling iPod on shuffle.
