THE KVET SLIDE CONTINUES

One of my undercover sources at CC says that KVET is starting to lose money now. I can see them glossing over a ratings slide as long as the money was coming in but I don't know how corporate can let the local management get by with causing money loses. The Zone gets the money from the Longhorn Contract which will always sell. If KASE, which has always been the cash cow of the group, starts to lose money then I see some major changes coming.

They should just multi cast KOKE on KVET, then I can hear some local talk again.
 
OK, guys, Labor day weekend is coming up soon, and 98.9 was sold to the Board of Regents, which may convert it to AAA.

I'm thinking... Oldies 98.1????

One more vote for oldies. Taking the dreck that is now KVET-FM and making it an oldies channel would give Austin an awesome radio lineup.
 
I doubt they will do anything to KVET. Remember everyone was Congratulated on how well they have done with KVET and KASE?

Heck, they might even go higher by adopting the silent format formerly heard on KHHL or go with a Spanish Christian format like the one on the 106.5 translator or Radio Ola here in SA.

You never can tell....does anyone have any info on how long CC will tolerate a station being in the red before blowing it up?
 
They might change KVET to Spanish like they did to KLOL down in Houston.
