>I don't remember.as of now how many times 104.1 change formats and call letters since it was first on the air.Hahaha this reminds me of a million of changes on 1220 AM.
I posted a detailed 1220 list on a board about 10 years ago. Well here's my 104.1 list.
WWCO-FM, traditional country, 12/1967 - 1972 (Simulcasted WWCO-AM's top 40 in some dayparts for its first few months. Simulcasted sponsored syndicated beautiful music show overnights for a few years.)
WIOF (called W104), still traditional country, 1972-1978
WIOF (called W104, Magic 104), soft rock, 1978-1981
WIOF (called WIOF, Magic 104), still soft rock, 1981 - 9/1/1992
WYSR (Star 104.1), 80s/90s, 9/1/1992 - 1994
WMRQ (radio 104), modern rock/alternative, 1994-2003
WPHH (Power 104.1), urban contemporary, 2003-2007
WPHH (fm 104one), back to alternative, 2007-
BTW - I just noticed they took away the audio service on radio104.com that they have been running since the 2003 switch to urban. The site just has only a large fm 104one logo.
