According to the map on radio-locator.com, 100.7 has a slightly better signal to the east, taking in Greenville and Kinston, and the north, taking in Henderson. But both stations certainly cover Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, Wilson and Sanford well. That's the sales area that counts. Greenville and Kinston are in the Coastal North Carolina market.
And are you saying 100.7 and 106.1 were close at one time but not now?
Yes... Clear Channel downgraded WRDU's signal and moved them to the WRAL-TV tower a few years ago. Prior to that they were 100kw @ 1500 feet or so.
