They preempted that for this?

Well, that's not confirmed, since the listings don't match up with the delay for this week. J! has two airings this weekend on WABC: Saturday at 7:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM. One will be the Friday episode (rerun of Ken's last game) and the other will be a random 2018-19 season rerun as usual. Wheel also has two airings, but they're both on Saturday: at 1:00 and 7:30. I have a feeling both shows will keep their "order", meaning that Saturday at 7:00 will be J!'s "Friday" show but Wheel's "Saturday" show, with Wheel's "Friday" show at 1:00, but I guess we'll see.

So this is how it ended up happening:

Wheel's 1:00 PM airing Saturday was the "Saturday" episode (listed as last Monday's). However, at 1:03 during the contestant interviews, WABC cut in for a brief coronavirus press conference held by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy (I don't know which of the other NYC affiliates, if any, also aired it). It signed off around 1:23, going back to Wheel during the break before the Bonus Round.

The Saturday evening Jeopardy!/Wheel hour were both their respective "Friday" episodes (listed as Saturday's), meaning Jeopardy!'s "Saturday" episode will air Sunday at 2:00 PM (still listed as last Monday's episode). There is an infomercial afterwards at 2:30 before ABC's NBA encore, so there is a small chance they may use that to re-air the Wheel episode that got interrupted, though it's unlikely (they did this once before when a Saturday Wheel got JIP'd from College Football overrun but Saturday Jeopardy! had already been bumped to Sunday afternoon).

You were right, gameshowfandanny.

It's an encore of Kobe Bryant's final game from 2016. Sports encores are always edited for time if necessary so that they don't run over.
On network TV, yes. Unfortunately I've listened to a couple of Mariners rebroadcasts on KIRO Seattle that cut off the end of the game if the rebroadcast runs past 10pm! What's really odd is sometimes it happens and sometimes they let the rebroadcast run overtime.

WTNH ABC 8 and sister WCTX My 9 in Hartford/New Haven aired a COVID-19 Town Hall tonight from 7-8 PM. WTNH pre-empted Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune entirely (they never delay, move, or re-air either show when pre-empted), and WCTX did the same with two episodes of Judge Judy (not sure if those are the "C/D" or "A/B" runs since TV listings list them as the same episodes that air from 4-5 on WTNH even though they're not). WCTX also repeated the town hall at 8 in place of local news.

This Saturday's FOX "optional" sports programming

11am 1991 WS Game 7 Twins/Braves
2pm 1999 NFC Wild Card game (Packers/49ers)

KMSP Minneapolis is showing the baseball game (not surprised). This is the first week they have shown the sports programming on Saturday (they are not showing the football game though) ;)

Sunday is the Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race :)

Most Philadelphia stations pre-empted 7-8 PM programming last night for the PHLove COVID-19 benefit concert.

KYW CBS 3: Inside Edition and Entertainment Tonight were bumped to 2:07 and 2:37 AM, replacing a repeat of the 11:00 news and Paid Programming.

WPVI ABC 6: Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune were bumped to 1:07 and 1:37 AM, replacing the encore of Tamron Hall.

WCAU NBC 10: Access Hollywood was pre-empted entirely and does not re-air.

WTXF FOX 29: Extra and TMZ were pre-empted. TMZ re-airs at 11:30 PM and Extra at 3:00 AM.

WPSG CW 57: Two of four consecutive episodes of Family Feud were pre-empted entirely.

WPHL My 17 was the only one of the main six to not air the concert.

Opposite on WNYW New York. We have the football game, but infomercials in place of the baseball game.

Nextstar in Harrisburg, PA (WHTM 27) is passing on tonight's ABC Run of "The Last Dance" Parts 1&2 in favor of the company produced "2017 Fiesta Bowl Classic: A Nittey Nation Special" ESPN video of said game with audio of The Penn State Radio Call.
They will direct those who wish to see 'The Last Dance' to ABC 6 in Philly on Comcast

I worked again yesterday and didn't record anything, but if Titan TV was correct WJKT in Jackson, TN carried the baseball and football replays and as usual WHBQ in Memphis carried infomercials, TMZ, and Judge Judy. Since NASCAR started later in the afternoon today and ran into prime time there was apparently no other sports scheduled earlier, so guess what made up most of the schedule: Infomercials!

correct. Prerace was at 4:30 CDT and race started around 5:20. It ran until 11:30 due to red flag for rain

Minneapolis had paid programs from 11-3 then TMZ and Access Hollywood
Mankato showed some E/I (Rock the Park), a movie and Madam Secretary

major quirkiness on CJON NTV ST John's Newfoundland this week

Since the number of cases in the area have been at 0 for a couple weeks now looks like CJON is doing reports on Monday-Wednesday-Fridays. So it quirks up the schedule with the news conference at 2pm Newfoundland time

So the M-W-F schedule this week is
1:30 Days of Our Lives
2:00 News Conference
3:00 Days of Our Lives (continued)
3:30 Judge Judy
4:00 Rachael Ray (pre-empting Tamron Hall)

Tuesday and Thursday
1:30 Days of our Lives
2:30 Rachael Ray
3:30 Judge Judy
4:00 Tamron Hall

I wonder if the FOX Station signed off late because of the deley.

FOX signed off at 11:26 CDT (the listings assumed it would have ended at 9:30)
KMSP Minneapolis went to news. Didnt stay up to see after that but knowing KMSP they would have pushed back the 2 episodes of Modern Family and probably nuked TMZ rerun. Since original listings had paid programs from 12:30-4 they had some leeway
KEYC-DT2 Mankato went to Mike and Molly. Pre-empted was been Big Bang, 2 episodes of Last Man Standing and 1 episode of M&M (the episode at 11:30 was what was scheduled).

Tonight, WFTV ABC 9 in Orlando aired a special on tomorrow's SpaceX launch at 7:00 PM. Jeopardy! moved to Wheel of Fortune's time slot of 7:30 (because of course it did), while the latter was moved an hour early to 6:30 on its indie sister WRDQ 27, replacing the "D" run of Judge Jerry (or an encore of the "B" run? Two other eps air on WFTV from 3-4; I had no idea that show had four runs if so).

The 7:30 Jeopardy! was properly listed, but 6:30 on WRDQ was still listed as Judge Jerry. Wheel was originally slated to air on WFTV at 3:30 in place of Judge Jerry's "B" run, but I guess they weren't allowed to air it that early. This is only the second known time Wheel moved to WRDQ on a pre-emption, the first being during last year's NFL Draft where both Wheel and Jeopardy! moved there, replacing Family Feud A and B (this year, they simply delayed that Friday's episodes to Saturday).

I don't get why they went through the trouble of shuffling around two shows when only one is affected...

Maybe because one is still in new episodes and in a tournament while one isn’t. Maybe the local numbers in the market where one doesn’t live warrant that business decision by the people whose job is to make decisions for their business. Maybe there’s not a conspiracy theory boogeyman around every corner.

This weekends FOX "optional" sports programming. Both shows are on at 2 CDT

Saturday-Game 6 of 1986 WS (Mets/Red Sox)
Sunday-Super Bowl 39 (Eagles/Patriots from 2005)

so with morons trying to burn Minneapolis to the ground the big 4 stations stayed on after their normal news sign off time (which is 10:35 Central time)

WCCO CBS did leave at 10:34 for Colbert but came back around 10:50 and was still on at 1am when I went to bed
KSTP ABC did leave at 11:05 for Nightline. I never did turn back to see if they came back after nightline (assume so because it kept getting worse)
KMSP FOX started at 9 (their news is at 9 and 10) and was still on at 1:30 (I hit record earlier and forgot to extend it)
KARE NBC stayed until at least 1:45am (again the DVR stopped)

so pre-empted on each station (I will go to 2am)
CBS was Colbert, Cordon, a replay of the 10pm news and Comics Unleashed
ABC was Kimmel part 1, Kimmel part 2, Pawn Stars and a replay of local show Twin Cities Live
FOX was TMZ (replay at 4am), Access Hollywood, Dish Nation (replay at 2am on WFTC FOX 9+), 25 words or less x2, replay of Dr Oz
NBC was Fallon, Seth, Lilly, a replay of 10pm news, a replay of ET

This past evening with more morons continuing to burn Minneapolis to the ground
WCCO CBS stayed on until 2:28am
KARE NBC stayed on until 12:45am
KSTP ABC went to Nightline at 11:05 but "would be back after"....dont know how long they were on
KMSP FOX left at 10:35pm to show regular programming (see previous post for programming)
