They preempted that for this?

Though IIRC correctly, the live Leno never aired, coverage of the GOP convention ran late, and unable to get the coverage pulled by NBC, Helen Kushnick pulled the live show, making NBC run a rerun in place of the much promoted post-convention live show.
What year was this?

What year was this?
1996. Reagan was speaking and NBC News was not about to cutaway. It became a shouting match between Kushnick and the President of NBC News, who finally told her that the only person who could take (NBC News) off the air was the President of NBC and he would give her his phone number

With CBS's coverage of the NCAA Tournament running way late with St. Peter's/Murray State ending around a quarter to 11 Eastern, thanks to the first game of Saturday, UNC/Baylor going to OT backing up the rest of the schedule, they preempted a new 48 Hours in Eastern/Central with Western viewers likely seeing a rerun or even just local programming in its place as was the case for some Mountain stations at 9 Mountain. That new episode should air next week with TBS doing the Regional Finals that day.

But she didn't raise a peep when the NBA Finals ran late....

Saturday soccer aired at 7pm and the pregame was at 6:30. The King of Queens was bumped up to 4:30 and 6pm on WAXN and The Goldbergs to 11 and 11:30pm (same time slot as during the week).

Next Saturday soccer is at 5pm. 4:30 pregame. The King of Queen and The Goldbergs return to its normal Saturday time slot and American Ninja Warrior is bumped to 11pm.

April 2 the game is at 7:30 and WAXN’s schedule is way out of whack. It’s the Goldbergs’ turn to have the weekend episodes split up, with one episode at 4:30 and the other at 11:30. Pregame is at 7. An hourlong newscast follows the game at 9:30pm, then back to back Seinfeld precedes the second Goldbergs at 10:30.

Interesting that they are going with the hourlong news instead of the regularly scheduled Seinfeld at 9:30 after the game, better though because it would almost certainly be joined in progress. I wonder if the hourlong Saturday newscast is permanent?

Wednesday on WOI ABC 5 in Des Moines Iowa airs Iowa's Forces of Nature: A Local 5 Severe Weather Special from 7pm-7:30pm.

The Goldbergs which is an all new episode will air Wednesday night / Early Thursday morning at 1:06am-1:36am.

i'm sure many TV Stations across the state of Texas preempted programing for severe weather coverage for today's (now yesterday as it's after Midnight) severe thunderstorm/tornado outbreak, it was a pretty bad severe weather day for Texas.

The Goldbergs is likely getting preempted entirely tonight on WSOC as there is a tornado warning for Burke and Caldwell County. It won’t be shown in it’s entirety. Maybe it will be aired overnight. If not I will be watching on Hulu.

Just discovered The Goldbergs actually aired at 11:05 and 11:35pm Saturday, which threw my DirecTV recordings a little out of whack because the guide listed it at 11 and 11:30.

I will have to remember to add extra time for the 11:35pm Goldbergs airing April 2.

Or later. They do show reruns.

I'm making sure I record all episodes, not just new ones.

I was recording everything on WXLV just in case at one time. But they could also have weather bulletins since they added a news operation.

I'd better do this too. There were some recordings I lost last season because I wasn't watching what was getting deleted once my TiVo got full.

Pretty much the same for Louisiana, in particular New Orleans on Tuesday night with the tornado that rolled through in NOLA's eastern area. Even today, noticed WWL preempted the CBS Evening News before the NCAA Tournament, I'm sure last night was the same in light of the disaster there.

WSOC did not air it overnight. I know because I recorded literally everything between National News Tonight and America This Morning to see if they did and they did not. They can air a preempted Season 7 rerun the summer before last in the middle of the night (preempted by Panthers training camp) but they can’t air a preempted NEW episode? Heaven forbid they preempt Kelly and Ryan at 2:30 in the morning that had already aired at 9 the previous morning. They could’ve re-aired the Wonder Years after that because they broke into that briefly. They could air it next Wednesday night instead of the repeat. I am going to watch on Hulu though.

I'm going to wait for reruns.

The storms couldn't have been too bad. WCCB aired "The Flash" in its entirety with information in the upper left corner.

I recall being told WBTV would never spend that much time on storms unless things were really bad, and yet after a few minutes of "Good Sam", nothing. I'll have to watch that one online because I doubt that show will be around for reruns.

Correction. The video of the show aired. I don't know why a robotic EAS voice took over the sound when it didn't happen at the same time on WSOC.
