They are constantly having these one off day offs. But, then they get more vacation and seemingly sick time than I take in five years.
It's unbelievable actually! Howard Simon has a ton of vacation as well. Any idea on how much these guys make per year? I've never been in the radio industry, just an observer/fan and am curious. Seems like a great gig!
It must be the standard in the radio business, because I thought I was the only one who has never been in the business (just a radio junkie) who posts on this board............BTW, Bulldog was off again yesterday. I would not be surprised if they haven't gone a full week in 2013 with them both being on together. And, it's not even vacation time yet.
Why are you so obssessed with this? Understand that these guys work six day weeks -- sometimes seven days -- during football season. From training camp in July to the holidays, they're lucky to get one day off a week. I kind of think it's unfair to criticize them for taking time off now. And it's really offensive to question someone who calls in sick. Their time off is between them and their employer and is frankly none of our business.
It's none of my business as a listener? Are you kidding me? I don't care if some guy in sales has all these days off, but as the product, they are what I'm there for.
I am actually a fan of the show, but only when they are together. I don't like listening to either one doing it solo............So, when I turn into the show to hear the Schopp AND the Bulldog show that is what I want to hear. Not play a game of Schopp OR the Bulldog, which one is it today??.......I would think the station manager or whoever likes them together, too, or why not just make it a solo show and save the extra money?
I wouldn't question an occasional day off or week off sick, but each one of them must easily be off a full 6-7 weeks out of the year. So, that is 1/4 of the year, that it's not Schopp and the Bulldog. (It's probably the same in the morning, but I don't listen to that show).
