Well Radio Babe, welcome back! We missed your insight. Radio is not the same without you. Sarcasm detector is going off the charts with that comment, by the way.
I want to say that I am flattered and the Rose staff shares in that sentiment with me. So much talk about our radio station on this board in the past couple of months.
Despite chatter about what we are doing wrong, seems to me that there is a strong buzz for the radio station these days. Who would have thought that, the station that once played soft rock and carried Delilah would have all this buzz. Come to a parade, a fair, a festival, a major station contest finale event or visit a workplace with us (today we visited one with 75 employees, all in our demo, a far cry from the 1 person you talked about, although we believe in hitting big and small workplaces since you never know who will get a diary) and you will see for yourself.
One thing I would like to note to everyone on this board is that the world changes...constantly. I do respect some of the old skool ways of doing things and I cringe when I hear that more air personalities are out of work to voicetrackers or just sweepers and jingles. Very sad.
But nonetheless if you want to succeed you have to embrace change. We're doing that. And we have planted to seeds to do what it takes to succeed. Obviously some people (possibly with an ax to grind) will come on here and cut us down. The world doesn't need negativity and I can only hope you find peace someday. Meantime I gotta get to work.
Great to hear from you again. And, as for Christmas music, we will tell you when it starts this year. We did last year as well. One advance hint...we celebrate one holiday at a time.
